Maybe but what if it's a great game that's taking advantage of the fact that it's Cloud Native & never have to be downloaded so it can be over 1TB in size so it's an unique experience.

It's actually very possible the fact that you're playing PS5 games on your phone & PS Portal kinda tells you this.


The biggest issue is how to make it worth doing.

Making a game that's a lot bigger than what can fit on our home consoles is one of the advantages of Cloud gaming that wouldn't cost much because you can have multiple servers reading from the same solid state storage.

In my opinion a Arcade approach is the way to go with it by making a game that's higher spec'ed than home consoles & charge people to play it then port it to the next generation of consoles a few years later.

Back in the 360 days there were rumors of a free Xbox 360 but the catch was you needed to pay for a live subscription, without the subscription nothing would work, and also there were more ads than the regular dashboard already had. I remember on the 360 you even needed a live subscription to watch your Netflix subscription and people were like so what no big deal, fools got us in this mess.
