IGN Reviewer Threatens He Will Dock Points On Reviews If Games Use Gulf Of America

This silly shit aside, IGN has been boosting the score of politically charged games to make them day 1 sales. They gave veilguard a 9 and avowed a 9.5. We all know that both games do not deserve that score.

I fight back by review bombing. Make a ton of acounts and go shit on them on metacritic. Nothing makes the media more upset than gamers review bombing their favorite LGBTQRSTUVWYXZ games.
Avowed review from IGN? Nope
Avowed politically charged? Well maybe, but a new McD's meal deal would probably be politically charged right now.
Knowing what an unreleased game 'deserves'? Can you tell from the pixels?
The media cares about your review bombs?
It's like a video game Gish gallop of a post.

Cause you aren't affected so they use both.

By the way, when are they renaming New Mexico to New America?
That’s ok, a Congressman proposed renaming Greenland into Red, White and Blue Land. Yes, that actually happened. 😂🤣😂

Edit: We need a new song about ‘Murica! “Sipping cocktails in Gulf of America one day, flying to Red, White and Blue Land the next!”

Just goes to show journalistic integrity is mostly gone and reviews are to be taken with the same big grain of salt as unsubstantiated leaks. I feel bad for the journalists that strive to give unbiased and insightful opinions. Time for organizations to wake up and clean house

I wonder if Death Stranding 2 will be the first game to call it Gulf of America or some other shit. The first game used “United Cities of America”.

Which also begs the question, what if it’s a game in the future that talks about aliens and how Earth united under one flag, is that a problem? I can imagine Helldivers 2 calling it the Gulf of Freedom. Would that be a problem?

Gulf of America sounds like when Windows does an update and now instead of doing something with 2 clicks, you need 5 clicks to do the exact thing, or when Facebook updates the website and now it sucks. It’s an effort to fix something that isn’t broken and was never a problem. I wish the government would instead use the money on something real.

Agreed some idiot gets into power and now they do the stupidest things to show their power off and threaten people with the most retarded displays of power, and then there's Trump

...r name they like and they would fear the right in power would do the same. It's much more important than it seems. Winning over the language is a key battle in the culture war.

I doubt that freak from IGN is that insightful but deep down he "feels" that conservatives can't be allowed to do this.
Words are power. Names especially have power.

If you change the place names of an area from thrle "native names" to what the invaders want, then who owns/controls the land?

Changing the name is exerting control. It's also a loyalty test. Which companies adopt the change and which don't. Just like the pronouns thing for academics and corporate types, this is a similar issue for tech companies, text books, and academic institutions.

It is frustrating how much better games journalism was in the 90s-2000s. I know some outlets in the mid to late 2000s were already falling into giving mediocre games great scores to keep access even back then...but now we're seeing them glaze or trash games for the "cultural win" too on top of access journalism.

Thankfully game reviews at least don't really matter when I can bring up a stream of someone playing the game, and decide for myself. I feel nothing for their layoffs anymore, because they have no value.

When's the last time you saw The Gulf of Mexico labeled on an in-game map?
He\she\combat helicopter is just fishing for brownie points from the retards.

Like the dude at obsidian that hope for some bbc to steal his job and probably fuck his wife, it's all performative bullshit.

A reasonable take, from an unreasonable person. Sometimes it happens.

It clearly is the Gulf of Mexico and there's no reason to call it anyting else. Americans can't just go around changing the world at their insane whims. The orange clown and his cronies are utterly insane.

Next up they'll probably want Canada, Greenland and Gaza. Oh wait...

If he/she/they do this, it will soil the reputation of video game reviews forever. This is the first time that someone is admitting to docking points outside of the game's scope.

It feels like they're actively trying to make their job as irrelevant as possible.

IGN is only survived by the normies who still watch their videos on YT, don't get any of the culture war stuff and would think 'but I'm a good person, so if they say they're a woman, who cares?'

The IGN reviewer is batshit crazy and should never be allowed to review games again.

Making up multiple accounts to shit up metacritic user reviews is some crazy shit.

Two truths can exist.
Or, you can just laugh at the clear trolling and not take your mission operandi so seriously.

The quiet truth is for every deranged journalist there are ten insane 'gaffers on the other side of the fence.

I feel like I'm the crazy one for being in the middle the whole time at this point.
