Oh boy, oh boy! How can this company make games that are super-duper fun like Destiny, but at the same time, do things that make everyone go, "What in the world?!" Especially their fanbase, yikes!
Now, you know what we could do? We could just ignore whatever silly stuff they put out. If their games aren't our cup of tea, then let's just skip 'em, right?
But wait, there's a reason I care so much! Destiny has this amazing gameplay, like whoa! And the visuals? They're like a magical dream come true! And the story, oh my goodness, it's like a book that comes to life! But here's the thing, it's really, really tough to stay excited when the developer decides to delete the story content that I paid for in the very first year of their game's life cycle. And then they come up with this wacky explanation about a "content vault" and feature stuff that they caused because of, well, poor planning and stuff. That's when I said, "No way, Jose!" I gave up on the game and only managed to snatch up some of the recent expansions when they were on super-duper sale. But guess what? I totally missed out on Forsaken! Bungie left me in the dark about that first year's content, and I left the game for a few years. So, now I'm clueless about that part of the story, even though it's supposed to be the bee's knees in D2's timeline. On the other hand, I don't really regret not buying that expansion because guess what? It got DELETED too! Can you believe it?
Oh my, Bungie!
And you know what? I can barely remember what happened after The Red War with the Curse of The Osiris and Warmind expansions. Can you believe it? So, am I supposed to go to YouTube and just sit there, doing nothing but watching someone else play through those campaigns? Just to catch up and figure out what in the world is going on in the story that I can actually play right now? I mean, it's an MMO shooter, and maybe most players don't care, but goodness gracious, storytelling in live service and MMO games can be such a wacky idea! Destiny 2 really takes the cake!
And now, Beyond Light came out recently, and oh boy, it was a complete disaster! Phew, thank goodness I didn't buy that one, even though I was tempted. But hey, what's gonna happen when The Final Shape comes out? Will they finally bring back the content I paid for years ago? Will I finally get to play through Forsaken? Golly gee, who knows? But seriously, can't they make an MMO game that lets us play all the content from the past right from the start? I mean, every other MMO out there seems to pull it off, but it seems like Bungie's having a tough time with that.
Oh, and now they're slapping the name Marathon on some PvP extraction shooter? Silly, silly Bungie! Marathon was a series of single-player boomer shooters, like a big brother to Halo! So, using its name for another money-focused live service game? That's just downright goofy, if you ask me!
