Taking a cab from the seoul station isn't hard either, there are tons of cabs that wait there.

But i guess it depends how far they are from the train station. Seoul is actually relatively large.

But i found most people in korea can speak some basic engrish. And i just gave them a copy of the address and they plugged it into the GPS anyway.

But be warned, cab drivers in korea much prefer you to pay in Cash rather than card. Apparently.

Download the jihachul app for android or ios for getting around the subway system, which is very easy. But yeah, cabs aren' _that_ expensive. If it's your first time and they live in Seoul, just take a cab.

Is anything expensive by Western standards in Korea? When I see prices of things while watching Running Man and stuff almost everything is so cheap. Like around 20-30% of what it would cost here.

Whoa whoa whoa, don't listen to anyone telling you to take a cab from Gimpo. Taxi's might be cheap in Korea, but it will cost you a grip to get from Gimpo to your spot. It looks near on Google maps, but the distance is even further when you factor in traffic which there will be.

Take the bus. After you get out of customs/baggage and you are in the airport there should be a Express Bus Terminal counter inside the airport. Go to the counter and speak to one of the nice ladies's at the counter, they will speak English, and either tell them you want to a ticket for Seongbuk or to be safer, print out a map of where you are staying and ask them for the right bus to get near there.

After you get to your stop, then take a taxi and show the driver a picture of the apartment complex and say "Hillstate Apartment" but say it with a engrish accent so it comes out like, "Hirrstate Apatu".

Thank you. I didn't get how to use the bus line tho.

I think the 'Navy Blue Line' is the safest bet, right? (Subway-wise)

A friend of mine (who is Korean) will write an email to the family asking for directions and stuff, and HOPEFULLY they will take the hint and offer me a ride lol. Pretty disappointing that GEOS didn't mentioned anything or didn't give me their e-mail until I asked.

Anyway, thanks for all the support. Wish me luck.

Soon I will ask directions for the red light districts.

The bigger problem is, how will I know when to get off? My korean is pretty lame and I will not, for sure, understand anything that the woman says (announcing the name of each stop).

check out Kpop Tasty Road, it stars NS yoonG and eli from ukiss, episode 4 just aired, im sure if you google the name of the show you can find an episode

the best part it is like 90% english so you don't even need subs (they speak english the entire show except voiceovers), which is pretty damn cool.

edit: actually you can watch all the episodes online officially, it can get kinda boring i suppose but its cool cause its a korean show in english, idk.
