Twitter's a cesspool, and I really feel the people saying those things are a minority -- at least I hope so. All of the press they've gotten has been pretty positive for the most part, and all the people who interviewed them treated them very respectfully. They were also treated really well at the awards show itself. There's always going to be a few racist assholes out there, which depresses me, but it's the sad reality of things :/

Did some cleaning. Went through all the albums between my sister and I. Looks like this is 40 albums total. A few of them autographed. Sold off a few last year, I think. Lots of other things as well that are stored away. (Photobooks, DVD's, etc.)

If Bieber would have won that award, we wouldn't have heard a peep from these idiots telling him to head back to Canada and attend Canadian Music shows. There is no rule that prohibits any soloist/group from being nominated/winning an award because they aren't from the west. Plus there have been American acts that have either attended and/or performed at the Mama awards.

It reminds me of when SNSD won that YT award and racists came out of the woodwork crying because their artist didn't win.

BTW, Grace comeback on July, she said she is not going to rap. I'm guessing it will have a featuring artist by some of the comments she made.

This is good, but I'm a sucker for loud and in your face instrumentals, like Cross Gene, 24k and A6P (RIP).

And I don't know how they mamaged to make that hardstyle breakdown not obnoxious, it just fits the song somehow. It's quite refreshing after all those releases around 2013/2014 with dubstep breakdowns that were just there riding the trend.

True, it gave me flashbacks to that era of boygroup music which I'm actually kinda fond of. I think it works so well for ACE because they present it so well, the choreo is on point and their styling is weird but well done. The song itself also has a good build-up towards that breakdown. I won't say the song is a masterpiece, but it's been a while since a boygroup managed to leave such a strong impression from the first time I saw them.

Edit: woah I just watched a performance of ACE and noticed the songwriters are Nassun, EJ Show and Bigtone. The same people that did K.A.R.D's stuff, also Berry Good's Don't Believe and some more recent Kara stuff. They also used to be part of Happy Face and worked on a lot of OG Dal Shabet stuff up until their full album I'd say. I don't really follow producers that closely, but I've been noticing Nassun has been producing a bunch of songs that stand out to me recently.

Now with english subs. Song is a jam and she goes in, I can't really complain. I hope she stays in this trayectory of cut throat delivery, and let the pseudo R&B to others. This is what makes her stand out.

#Side rant#
Dj played this during the kpop thingie that featured Grace, and was probably his more inspired moment in a sea of BTS, Monsta X, Zico, Jay Park and every YG single released to date. (That, and OG Pick Me).

Seriously, it's not my first kpop event, and people need to stop with the BTS pandering, it's exhausting. It's an easy way to make 80% of the crowd, but they let the rest of the crowd yawning at every strech of 4-5 similar songs in a row (which not surprisingly, is the +18 crowd, and the only ones are consuming and creating profits). Sad thing is I enjoy some songs released by those artists, but I just zone out.

It doesn't help the odd selection of girl group songs they decide to go with (AOA Excuse me was the WTF moment of the night). Of all the AOA songs...

2012 rounded off in an amazing way with Secret - Talk That too. I know I'm the only one of GAF that loves it, but I'll never stop repping this song. By far Secrets best song, possibly the best song of 2012, and like you said 2012 was a great year, making it a strong contender for anywhere from top 10 to top 20 greatest kpop songs ever.

The choreography actually isn't that exciting or difficult but she nailed it.

Also interesting that Kim Lip's MV only hit a few days to hit 300k views, it took ViVi's about a month so hopefully this means LOOΠΔ's gaining more traction coz I need moar lol.

Damn this is a strong list. I'll add Dream Racer by 4Minute too. Volume Up is great no doubt, but the energy of Dream Racer was always infectious to me
