LOONA's (mis)adventures in London
이달의소녀탐구 #50 (LOOΠΔ TV #50)
이달의소녀탐구 #51 (LOOΠΔ TV #51)
이달의소녀탐구 #52 (LOOΠΔ TV #52) <-- GOAT HaSeul
HaSeul so precious, she is giving me Taeyeon vibes. In any case, I really like these short clips, well edited and to the point (it also helps that they are subbed).
LOOΠΔ's might become the best visual girl group ever if this keeps going. This is unreal so far.

I have no idea who are all those girls in that megapost, or what group they belong to. Just a bunch of ugly hose.

MAMAMOO(마마무- I Miss You
Incredible song in one of the best album released this year.
Like A Cat is the only good AOA song.
Kang Sira (who was robbed from screen time on Produce 101) will debut as a solo artist later this month.
![]()
One of the better vocalists the show had next you Yeonjung. Those runs in My Best! Hope they give her interesting production.
______________
And Somi will be a solo artist for the time being. Surprised, because her voice could be really grating in a full song.
2017 should be called Debut 101
kookie please. Like A Cat is one of their worst songs, literally every track on that mini is far superior (except the intro I guess). Have you listened to any of their album tracks?
I really like your pics. And Koh Nayoung is releasing new stuff this week!.A little late but these are my favorite songs released this year ( not in order, besides 2BiC obviously):
고나영 Koh Nayoung - I Like (feat. Microdot)
Surprise of the year, really great rnb song, unfortunately very underrated.
Nope.
Here's the thing with me and AOA, I had to force myself to listen to their stuff a year ago coz I know they were getting big and I thought I'd be missing out on something but that hasn't been the case with them. Like A Cat is the only thing I like and that's even kind of a stretch... it's the most listenable one for me imo.
I've given AOA a chance for every release they have done in the last year and I'm still arriving to the same conclusion... they're just not for me. That said, I'm still gonna keep giving their releases at least one listen but until they can actually release something really good, consider me not a fan of AOA at all.
Curiosity just got the best of me so I did some research and now I know why their music sucks... Brave Brothers is fncking garbage.
Fair enough. I still think you should check out some their album tracks before you completely dismiss them but if they're not for you then that's fair. Can't really argue with that.
Brave Bros can be pretty good when the music is more restrained, but he tends to go too far with AOA's singles and it just sounds obnoxious.

Edit: actually you know what, that's hypocritical of me. I never give a chance to groups like Lovelyz or April or whatever because I can't make it through like a minute of their music lol. Do what you gotta do man.
But there are so many groups releasing better stuff than them, is hard to justify them as one of the top groups, tbh.
I looked at Brave Bros catalog in Wikipedia and if that is true, the only good songs he's ever produced is Sistar's My Boy and Alone.
What a trash can of a producer lol.
Speaking of LOONA, I read the other day, that the reason for the pretentious spelling is that they are using the first characters of every syllable of the korean name to spell it.
From: 이달의 소녀
Yep. I'm taking a look at the list of K-Pop groups that debuted in 2012 and the only ones that achieved huge success is EXID (EXO too but they're dudes and IDGAF about them).
A little late but these are my favorite songs released this year ( not in order, besides 2BiC obviously):
투빅 2BiC - 니가 그리워 Missing you (with 케이시 Kassy)
Missing you is definitely my song of the year, just amazing, a perfect combination of vocals and a great instrumntal part.
투빅 2BIC - 사랑한 그때처럼 Love Memories
My favorite ballad of the year, it's a slow building song, like many 2BiC ballads, but the second part is absolutely amazing. Really underrated even between 2BiC songs.
4minute (포미닛- Blind
Not sure if everyone already forgot about 4minute but their last mini album was really good, not a single forgettable song. I choose Blind because the instrumental part is so good.
제이에이 (JA), QM - Nazca (Feat. Deepflow)
Discovered this in 2017 but was released in 2016, really great chill rap song and QM seems to be a really good rapper.
Apink - BOOM POW LOVE
I liked the more mature (musically) Apink and Boom Pow Love it's my favorite release from them this year, even if Only One and Catch Me were close.
AOA - 10 seconds
Really underrated group musically imo, 10 seconds is one of the best song released this year and one of the few song when the sexy concept is done right imo.
빅스(VIXX) - Fantasy
Not sure why VIXX isn't more popular because they almost always release great songs and Fantasy is an example.
고나영 Koh Nayoung - I Like (feat. Microdot)
Surprise of the year, really great rnb song, unfortunately very underrated.
여자친구(GFRIEND) _ 시간을 달려서(Rough)
A perfect example of cutesy/girfriendly concept mixed with a more mature and actually good song.
NCT U_WITHOUT YOU
NCT U debut songs are some of the best debut songs, I posted Without you because it was overshadowed by 7th Sense which is also really great.
Stellarjet (스텔라젯- Guiding Light
Instrumental and vocal are so good in this, Stellarjet seems to release always good songs and this is definitely my favorite.
유영진 X D.O._Tell Me (What Is Love)
Best SMStation release for me and one of the best song released this year, D.O. and Yoo Young-jin vocals are so good.
MAMAMOO(마마무- I Miss You
Incredible song in one of the best album released this year.
MAAN (맨- Night (밤 (Feat. 정일우
)
A great Indie rock band which always release good song.
The heck happened to those lists? They used to be so much longer, featuring literally hundreds and hundreds of groups (most of which, to be fair, nobody had ever heard of). I'm sure Mina wasn't exaggerating though when she said that there were seventy other new groups in 2012.
I.O.I's final single to be produced by none other than B1A4's Jinyoung
Wut?
Check Your meds.
He is hit and miss, but he has PLENTY of hits.
Wikipedia decided that these list could only include entries that have their own wikipedia page, so all the small groups were edited out. A mistake, IMO, but I can see where they were coming from.
great list 👌Wut?

After School - Because of you
After School Red - Night into the sky
BESTie - Love Options
Brave Girls - Deepened
Chersee - White shirt
C-Real - No No No
Dal Shabet - Someone Like U
Stellar - Cry
Sunmi - Full Moon (Co-produced with JYP)
Ze:A - Breathe
Specially the bolded.
*Triggered*
Knowing Brothers got its highest ratings this week (AOA was on) - just over 4%. Youngchul is going to have to leave the show soon lol
Hani is on next week. That'll be a good one.
I was using hit meaning "good songs". From the list, Because of you is the really popular one. Not sure about Full Moon, maybe you are right. The point is, Brave Bros can make good music, and 2016 has been his best year in a while, IMO. In honor of oc making an appeareance, I will link one of his favourite sections in a song made by Brave Bros, that he replayed NON stop during the days of ustream (RIP, nostalgic AF now).So he only had 10 hits?
Lol.
Kidding aside, Sunmi's Full Moon is the only one that I recognize off that list.
How many of these actually became real hits though? As in they hit the top 10 of MelON or whatever chart for more than a day. I don't follow charts tbh but I do know that if they actually hit the top 10 then there's usually a lot of talk of the song here, r/Kpop and Asian Junkie... and if that was the case then I'd definitely give them a click.
And out of that list, Deepened is the only really good song out of the 10... I need to add it to my playlist lol.
