The Zeds of Killing Floor 3 have been augmented into something worse, and our new hands-on preview finds a sequel that refines the existing formula to deliver a significant leap over its predecessor. Previewed by Henry Stockdale

I hate the futuristic tech direction they've taken with this series. KF1 felt refreshingly gritty and grungy. The sequel moved away from that aesthetic but still felt mostly grounded (at least at launch) and the technical leap was quite profound coming from the original game's Unreal 2.5 engine.

This, though, looks like the devs have completely lost the plot. What a shame, Killing Floor was bar none my favorite co-op shooter.
