Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hits Two million copies sold in under two weeks

It's a great game.

I also wish that they tackled fantasy genre in this simulation style, it's been 14 years since Skyrim.

(please improve the combat though)
I really think the Midevial fantasy genre will be a tough genre for Warhorses next game. The Witcher 4 will have like 5x the budget of KCD2 and CDPR are possibly the best developer in the industry. And then there is Elder Scrolls 6 also releasing in the next 3 or 4 years. The competition is steep

But I agree with the combat. If KCD2 had a decent RPG combat system, like a Witcher 3, it would probably be my favorite game ever. Everything else is so damn good. Warhorse has the potential to be a top 5 developer in the industry. Hopefully they get heavy investment for whatever their next project is

That is very impressive. I have yet to get it myself. Finally got myself to start with the Yakuza franchise, so I’m preoccupied for a while.

Correct, 150+ hours of handcrafted singleplayer storydriven content.
No microtransactions (hello, Capcom)
No DRM (hello, every dumb publisher under the sun)
No stuttering (hello, every UE5 based game)
Thats the stuff I like to throw my money on. Okay, couldnt care less about the engine stuff. I am just impressed how good the cryengine still looks and runs.

You seemed very upset about optional DEI in other games

Just trying to follow the logic of where the line is drawn

The logic is that there is a difference when games are made with passion but have certain elements that could be considered controversial but the developer doesn't lecture you, and then there are games that are made by activists that want to inject their propaganda and they dont care much about the game itself (and it shows in the quality of the game)

For example, Baldurs Gate 3 has certain things that could be considered woke, like homosexuality but the game doesn't lecture you in any way and honestly, its made in a way that is relatively discreet without feeling intrusive or preaching

KCD2 is the same in that regard, when you play the game there is absolutely nothing woke on it except for the gay relationship and even this thing being woke is debatable because homosexuality existed since humans existed and since Henry is young, experimenting with same sex doesn't seem crazy to me. But the rest of the game is just immaculate, women look and behave like women, and there is no weird shit. Anyone who plays the game can attest to this if they have common sense and dont have weird agendas

I know you are trying to find some weak spot in my argument to attack me, but honestly and I have said this many times, I dont mind if there is inclusivity in a game as long as is well made with coherence and without trying to lecture the player.

Its simple as that

I mean this is an industry problem too. And while Capcom is an offender, they are certainly not the worst of it. Try using Ubisoft or EA is a prime example of that horrid practice.

Of course, I just specifically singled out Capcom because there was a huge kerfuffle about MTX in Dragon's Dogma 2. And imho there should be none in a singleplayer RPG.
