Really happy for them, I know the first game was loved by many and this one seemed like it'd be more of the same, if not more so. So I figured there's no way they wouldn't stick the landing. I figured that whole "outrage" was nonsense.

Yeah, me too. There are probably a lot fewer of them than you get the impression of since they're obnoxiously loud. But we've had optional homo romances in RPGs for close to three decades now, and people never gave a shit (and still don't it seems).
Anyway, I'm happy for Warhorse Studios ... and unhappy that I won't have time to play this for several months.

Hoping for at least 3m copies sold in launch window aka full price. Official sales data from nov 2024 for first KCD is 8m copies so that 1m so far doesnt look impressive at all.
Now that we know there is really no rainbow/gay controversy and game is of very high quality hopefully solid word of mouth will contribute to major increase in sales

it is an option where u chose specific dialogues/romance options, nothing is forced on any1, and no1 will watch that scenes unless person literally choses multiple options in specific dialogues indicating gay romance, so 99% of players will simply never know it even exists in the game.It is 1 million in 1 day... Exactly. It's stuff that has existed in games for years, but now some people want to try and act like it's some kind of new huge issue that's being forced. It's not, lmao. Much like a lot of things, it's up to the player. It's IN the game, sure, but as long as you don't act on it, you won't see it.
