Eric "Badlands" Booker, a 6-foot-4, 400-pound subway conductor from Long Island who came in fifth with 27 dogs, said he and the other competitive eaters were determined to unseat the Japanese.


"We aren't going to stop until we bring the belt back," he told ESPN.


Kobayashi seemed unworried. "I will come back next year and try and break the record once again," he said.

we get a lot of these programs on Japanese tv and some of them are amazing.

Three people in one eating final had to eat as many bowls of Ramen as they could in 1 hour.

One guy got up to around 30+ bowls... it was astonishing (anyone who has ever ate one bowl of Ramen will know how filling one is).

The winner was this tall skinny 25 year old guy - in his crowning ceremony, the crowd full of young nymphets where going crazy like he was a pop star...

I don't know if Nathan's hot dogs are kosher but they are 100% beef since the original Nathan was Jewish.
