Are the Marvel vs. Capcom games good, actually?
BTW here's a trailer. It seems it has Powerstone, that's awesome.

Damn, that artwork is superb, I still love it.

Pretty. Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, X-men vs Street Fighter and MvC2 are pretty damn good fighting games.

Yes, very much so. From X-men Children of the Atom to MvC2, a lot of the games are absolutely awesome. Around that time people just expected greatness with each new Capcom Marvel fighter. MvC2 was HUGE though.

Well it's a digital version only...
That's why I'm waiting for it to drop like $5 on a sale. I ain't spending $40 on a digital only product. I've never spent more than $15 on a digital only product and I ain't about to start now.

I still don't get buying physical for Xbox and PlayStation, they are both basically verification codes for you to still install to play the games.

This trailer is for what amounts to be the 4 game in the series which is not yet out. To answer your question they are some of the best fighting games ever made.

Great. The series peaked with MVC1

I thought they looked bad even at the time one of MVC2 many missteps

I really tried MvC2. Way back on DC. I didn't like it either. The 3D backgrounds don't mesh well with the old CPS2 sprites. The music is trash. And I was not a fan of 3 v 3.

MvC1 was excellent on DC, I found I always returned to this one.

Sorry, misread your initial post. Thought you were referring to them as just keys. But yeah, it requires an install but no downloads.
But even after install, does it still require disc to be in to verify?

I'm just still in the mindset of plug and play is reason for having physical games. Switch has brought that plug and play back. It's reason why when ever possible I'll buy physical games on Switch.

This trailer is for a different Capcom collection that is out in May IIRC.

Personally MvC1 is one of my all time favorite games, but I hated MvC2 and never played 3 because it looked like more of the same. The first one was pure fighting and perfectly balanced. The second one on it's all about broken characters and flashy combos. I was so excited for MvC2, I paid a lot of money for an import Dreamcast copy to play it before it released in the US. What a stupid idiot I was, very disappointed. But I am aware my opinion is not the popular one.
