The Xbox (and weirdly enough, PC fans) mantra:Why would anyone expect a mid-gen refresh that costs $700 to be sold out when it's mainly only available online right now AND we have no idea how many they've made? There are no shortages going on right now that would impact production.
Its the truth!
Because they don't have an infinite number of consoles and won't just keep selling through their website and then tell retailers to suck it if they sell their entire supply. Ergo, they have not sold out the number that they have decided to sell direct. Why would they want to be sold out over a month before release when it's not available for pre-order at retailers yet?
As always. Start shit, play victim, repeat. You are the one that drudged it up again in the Astro Bot thread and start crying about it. But once again, you are playing the victim.
Uhm what goalpost is he moving? So Sony made this console to not sell well? To me it looks like he is moving the goalpost, I bet Sony expects first batch to sell out.
Uh...this is the same world where Mat Piscatella and Daniel Ahmad are not raising eyebrows so.....

How did he put it in a bad light?Tom Warren is an Xbox shill, so he needs to put the PS5 Pro in a bad light.
It was sold out at launch.
No it wasn’t sold out at launch. I had a preorder at Best Buy, walked into Gamestop and bought 2 more ON LAUNCH DAY, my nephew also bought 1 so thats 3 non preorders.Cheers. Back in 2013. I went along with my mate to our local electronics retailer for him to pick up his pre-order PS4. When we got there. There was a whole stack of PS4's and I asked if I could buy one too. Easy as! I certainly do not remember people trying to hunt them down or wait days/months for them.
He has a punchable face tooTom Warren is an Xbox shill, so he needs to put the PS5 Pro in a bad light.
So it went from "hard to find" to now being "not always readily available on shelves", hilarious. Keep spinning cupcake, your master has taught you well. It’s hard to argue with an arrogant god. But as I said before. They were not always readily available on shelves. Not sure what the pre orders were like because I didn’t participate.
I'd missed you quote me so I thought it would be polite to respond once I caught the message.
It's all good, just all of you please leave me alone and I will go play games. Cheers xxxx
Please explain to me the difference between those statements. Would love to hear the way you spin it.So it went from "hard to find" to now being "not always readily available on shelves", hilarious. Keep spinning cupcake, your master has taught you well.
I can understand that I would like games to be smaller as well. Hell just spent 108 hours beating Trails through Daybreak and I still need to go back through it for the plat. This isn't an issue with consoles though there are plenty of indies on consoles. Sony in fact has been releasing smaller games lately with Miles Morales and Astrobot. I think Vemon will be something similar. It's not so much the consoles I have an issue with. I like them, but it's more the direction the top end of the industry is heading in. Digital Foundry went into that with the whole "PS2 Flavour" topic. As a result of chasing the big graphical open world 100+ hour titles, we've lost a lot of titles of medium size (once were considering big) that interested me. As a result, I'm on a mid PC playing indie mostly. Thankfully, indie is doing an amazing job.
I think Tom hasn't been that bad lately. he might possibly have been neutral on that post but I think this is a case of his reputation not doing him any favours. He wasn't making a big deal of PS5s selling out or Series S failing to sell out to jump to conclusions on power and consumer needs. He was even claiming Series S will perform better than a PS5. It's his reputation letting him down.I dunno that tweet by Tom Warren seems pretty neutral/stating an observation.
"AI crap nobody wants" as in the spyware known as MS Recall that people didn't want anything to do with. Not "AI things people like".The best thing is that Piscatella criticises Warren's hyping of "AI crap" when the PS5 pro makes image enhancements... ...Through AI.

Fuck, I told my brother to hold off and wait for it to come to Amazon as there was no chance it was going to be sold out. He is going to be pissed![]()
PS5 Pro is out of stock now.
shouldn't retailers be taking preorders now?Fuck, I told my brother to hold off and wait for it to come to Amazon as there was no chance it was going to be sold out. He is going to be pissed
It's still not available on Amazon, last I checked. And since it's sold out on direct, ps might be waiting for official launch before it is available on retailers, considering that it is launching in just 3-4 weeks.shouldn't retailers be taking preorders now?
what timezone you on? i saw in the other thread retailers are taking preorders nowIt's still not available on Amazon, last I checked. And since it's sold out on direct, ps might be waiting for official launch before it is available on retailers, considering that it is launching in just 3-4 weeks.
Goodluck! Most retailer only have limited units.shouldn't retailers be taking preorders now?
Est. Saw the other thread, seems Amazon is the only one who hasn't started it yet. Hopefully it starts soon and Amazon has enough inventorywhat timezone you on? i saw in the other thread retailers are taking preorders now
$1,199 in Australia and preorders still available from every retailer who is selling them.In the UK the base PS5 Pro is priced to an equivalent to $913, including tax. And $1076 once you add in disc drive and stand. Which is insane.
Thats practically double the price of a standard PS5, if anyone is wondering why its still in stock there.
Damn, probably works out similar once you add taxes. I know you guys pay a lot more for your goods but yeah its A LOT for a console. The rest of the world prices makes the US prices look like a bargain in comparison.$1,199 in Australia and preorders still available from every retailer who is selling them.
Yeah, with the exchange it works out about the same (plus the usual fuck you tax we get). I think it’s more the cost of living crisis here and the psychological $1,000 barrier makes it a tough ask. I think the Saturn was around ) $1,000 and didn’t sell well and the PS3 was $999 until they started bundling it in with every Bravia TV.Damn, probably works out similar once you add taxes. I know you guys pay a lot more for your goods but yeah its A LOT for a console. The rest of the world prices makes the US prices look like a bargain in comparison.
Its also pretty much unprecedented pricing in the UK since the the 80-90's with PC-like consoles and I'm guessing elsewhere as well. Maybe something like the Neo Geo in eclipses that. But that was more of a niche and expensive arcade. machine.
You dont have to be an Xbox shill to do that, I think its the other way round, you need to be a pretty hardcore Sony fan to defend it!Tom Warren is an Xbox shill, so he needs to put the PS5 Pro in a bad light.
Lol no. Everyone wants good AI upscalers.Isn't PS5 pro AI crap nobody wants?
PS Direct always said preorders were up until today![]()
PS5 Pro is out of stock now.
Retailers are taking pre-orders now. And I also suspect that Sony will restock the Pro on Direct. Don't lose hope, brother. You're not completely fucked yetFuck, I told my brother to hold off and wait for it to come to Amazon as there was no chance it was going to be sold out. He is going to be pissed
