Heh, Wii Sports still in top 10 in MC it seems.
EDIT: Now that I give it an even deeper look, there seems to be a lot of disparities with sinobi's rankings. For instance Yoshi's Island and Professor Layton.
Also the Digimon Story games combined must be doing very well.

Its only temporary, that system will never catch on with the Japanese public

I thought KHIIFM+ would have done better given the presence of the GBA remake.

And More English Training starts out WAY low.

I think the DS is in a draught atm. Things will likely return to normal in a few weeks.

You know Konami is looking at the same numbers and slapping their collective foreheads.

It's obvious that Japanese people are such quick learners that they didn't need a second one.

Pretty low software sales for spring vactaion.

Gundam is gone and seems unlikely to jump back up.

Layton is down too and this week I have been seeing them in stores so can't really blame supply this time. It is still doing well though.

The new Houkutou no Ken game did very well for an almost 2 year old, 2D arcade game port.

I think we may have seen the last of Fire Emblem in the top 30 as well.

The real difference right now between the Nintendo and Sony platforms right now is the legs on their titles. Even MHP2 looks like it's steadily slowing, I would be surprised to see it break 2 million. If it was on the DS with this pace, people would be hailing it as a sure 4 million seller.

But they needed a second brain training? Or maybe it's just "more brain training" released winter holiday time.

A slew of releases hit last week. Both Digimon games combined ended up doing well over 70,000, which is pretty good for an opening week. Bandai-Namco Holdings seems to be capitalizing big on the DS now what with Nintendo not releasing much. Professor Layton is hanging in there...

Apparently both the DS and Wii stocks were low. I hope they're saving up for Golden Week, FFXII: RW, and Super Paper Mario.

Tip: Media Create threads are not like most other threads in that their stupidity quotient is abnormally low. Because most of the posters here are here to discuss numbers, statistics and dry business topics along with the regular GAF hilarity, you tend to get a bit of an older crowd.

Yes, some stupidity is welcome here, for entertainment purposes, but it takes a seasoned troll to pull it off. You, my friend, do not have the chops just yet. Lurk a little more.

There was a time when all Nintendo systems combined wouldn't equal half of the Sony systems on the top 50. And the top 50s used to end in the sub 2,000 levels.

What was English Training 1's first week sales? Shouldn't a sequel to a million-seller have a better opening week?

edit: Call of Duty 3? Three Namco DS games in the top 10? Weird.

That was before Nintendo started destroying the games industry.

makes good threads.
Any word on wether or not there will be some sort of Japanese Training game for the english crowd? It would be a nice way to learn Kanji.

On a different note, why are people wondering where the Wii game equivilant of DS's Nintendogs is? You know, that game which is a relatively simple idea that shows off what the system can do which then spurs the masses into buying it. I hear this being brought up on 1up Yours alot. It's pretty obvious now that the Wii Sports games are the Nintendogs of this system.
