- That is a pretty great result for ED4 no?

-Toukiden holding very well. I believe we might have Vita's biggest success.

- Another small but real rise for Wii U. Look, I'm not going to claim advertising is the only, or the biggest problem with hardware sales, but I do think the complete lack of any sort of advertising for literally 3 months might have been a contributing factor to the 5-6K sales we've seen recently (like, if Nintendo had been advertising, maybe sales are *only* 9-10k awful). Next week will be very interesting. I want to say 30K minimum should be expected.

Very good hold for Toukiden. Percentage is missing from the PSP version, by the way.

Was expecting a bigger bump for Wii U with Pikmin 3 coming out next week, oh well.

Marketing makes Wii U go up, shocking. Toukiden is holding well, and the PSP version is missing it's drop percentage, which is -50%.

EDIT: Best second week for Vita software? Congrats to Koei, though that is pretty shocking.

Pikmin 3 soon, will be interesting to see what spike the WiiU gets from that.

Pikmin 3 is the Wii U's next major release right? Should be a nice bump for the system. Vita also producing some nice numbers and some games on the way. Hooray!

Saturday is Pikmin 3, retail version of NSL U, new Nintendoland+Wiimote bundle, and the white premium.

It isn't accompanied by a price drop, but this is the biggest push by far the platform has received since launch.

That Taiko no Tatsujin game is still in the top 20. I wonder, if the Wii U had a Taiko no Tatsujin game, would it sell well?

I thought the difference was going to be a lot bigger between the Vita and PSP version of Toukiden, 66k is not that big. I expect that GH2 will be similar when it gets released this year. Otherwise good week for the 3DS :)

Toukiden had a great second week. Great for Tecmo. Amazing EDF4 start. Wii U up is...is this really what advertising can do? XD

Nice hold for the Vita. Better than expected, I guess...

Wii U up with no games. Though small, marketing already has got a positive response. Let us see next week. Things shall be interesting.

Seriously though, this result for EDF4 shows that the EDF audience since post-EDF2 has always been there in Japan, but they had no interest in getting a 360. They didn't really care that much for portable entries either. I guess this is a much more extreme case of the Tales scenario, where there are lots of people who want to play a given game, but they apparently only want to play them on the console they use most, which happens to be the PS3.

Vita holding above 20k is nice. Didn't expect Toukiden being better than Soul Sacrifice.
Wii U the only SKU increasing it sales, well, its a start.

20 million PSPs vs less than 2 million Vitas. I think it is doing pretty well so far. They already have a 10% attach rate on Vita.

Nice to see Toukiden stay strong. But more importantly, when will Bandai get the hint and stop grooming Toriko as their next star?

So haa the final retail version of Toukiden been getting high praise or is it selling well in spite of praise? Hasn't really been in my radar but something must be going right about it.

Also Japan is so weird. The fact that a niche Vita title is outselling Last of Us is pretty funny. That's not even taking into account the PSP sku.

- Great perfomance by EDF! I heard the game has a lot of bugs

- Expected a bigger drop from Vita, but it seems like Toukiden does wonders for the system; wonders that Soul Sacrifice couldn't do which is ridiculous

- Nice small Wii U bump; we're witnessing the first effects of their recently started marketing campaign and if I remember correctly this is Pikmin 3 week, right? Next week will be super interesting for everybody here I guess

- Dat tier 2 console sold 313; that's the number on Donald Duck's car

First Vita demo was panned pretty badly, T-K got a lot of useful feedback out of it and fixed shit, second and third demos were pretty fun and I guess the hype train continued from there.

So what do people think will be the likely sales scenario for the Wii U over the next couple of weeks? Perhaps sales similar to what the Vita has experienced last week and this week (31k and 21k)?

I think Toukiden is going to have the best legs compared to any other Vita software before it.

DKCR3D is going to hit 200K next week. Good for it I guess.

Pikmin 3, NSLU Retail, and White-Premium are launching on a Saturday, so it should be interesting to see their 1st day sales.

Japan treats Western titles like the West treats (non-Nintendo) Japanese titles.

EDIT: Maybe more like the West treats JRPGs.

Excellent numbers for Toukiden. PSV's decline wasn't that steep either.

WII U is on the up and up. We'll see what those Pikminz will do for the system.
