It's Switch Time in Japan!

Don't want to be ride or sth, but does anybody care about the sales apart of developers/publishers/producers/manufacturers?

According to COMG store preorder chart

Smash Bros Ultimate is going to be the biggest Switch game
Pokemon Cash Grab Pikachu and Evee is going to be shit in comparison to other mainline or remake titles

Game sold like a shit = low chance of getting a new sequel/project
Game sold like a KFC = high chance of sequel/project

Nice start for Octopath. New ip opening above 100k, and with misread stocking problems, too. Impressive. Can't say I loved the demo, but it's always good to see a jrpg selling well.

In regards to switch, I still think that Nintendo is selling what the can ship. They've been.constantly selling between 30-50k units for the past months. No drop during slow software periods, no significant spikes during major relesases. Might all be coincidence, but that's my hypothesis. Next 4 weeks will be brutal compared to Wii in the same time frame.

Even if it solds like gold, the decision of making a sequel isn't obvious. Meaningless info for your everyday Joe. But I understand that we some of young economist's club right here

Splatoon 2 sales are a revelation, that’s an impressive uplift being bought along side new releases.

Great start for Octopath. Seems like Switch is supply constrained it has been selling in far too consistent numbers for that to be coincidence.

Yeh it's quite good for Snack World given that the original release was at around 250-300K.

Pokemon US/UM went up because of Pokemon Let's Go Preorders opening.
