And also Mario3DWorld: it's showing an insane ratio compared to the Wii U install base (especially in terms of weekly sales)
Very solid Vita numbers, the system really turned itself into a living platform. Wii U instead is dead (and the price cut and the almost reliable stream of releases are the main differences between the two consoles imho)

Is Zelda ALBW already over Zelda SS?

Vita still kicking and Wii U dipping right back into it's normal baseline. I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see Kirby doing so well after last week's post showing all the first week and LTD sales.

Consoles are really hurting in Japan. :/

I can see Level-5 throwing a party after finally managing to get a new cross-media franchise off the ground, especially with LBX and IE being done. Let's see how they fuck it up now.

3DS # means OG 3DS + 3DS XL, for instance. PSV # is OG PSV + PSVTV.

Whats happened to 3DS? 50% decline from last year! Despite having Pokemon, MH and PD!

Has FFX HD become the best selling HD remaster yet? Its at 462k.

Just lol at WiiU. Didn't even hold compared to last year and Iwata says he needs to keep track of foreign trends better.....more keep track of global trends with the WiiU.

FFX itself should be over 500k now, but it's probably not great to compare it that way, since the full price package is FFX+FFX-2.

Dragon's Dogma was also very successful there, perhaps taste for open-world games is growing.

I think Japanese gamers are getting more interested in Western games especially since the PS3 generation.

GTA was always the best selling western series but its outdoing PS2 GTA's by 200k+ and it will most likely get a BEST re-release.

And sales of X standalone> X-2 standalone

I think we should calculate total to be dual packs + sales of X-2

Here's a thought: Are Japanese gamers more inclined to buy big western titles now because they are western games, or simply because of the declining blockbuster output by Japanese developers on consoles?
