Is that doable (after they will announce Tarja as dlc character)?

Late entries at 3DS life will be hard outselling other from years ago. These 3DS games will sell enough to give additional income to Nintendo and third parties, nothing more.

I should have clarified I was thinking the exact same period you just wrote so it's good : P.
Well if it goes as you say I think it's quite ok already.
If they went 70k then 100k+ to finish close to 200k for December it would still be impressive. As long as there are no big drops in between.
But what matters is games. Hope overall the software has a good time so we can have a bright future.
DBZ's new shipment clearly indicates that it succeed Bandai-Namco expectations. Very high possibility for a DBFZ Switch announcement by now.
Nintendo's target this year is to destroy the 10m initial forecast. Maybe they'll give the updated one with the quarter results at the end of October or not. You won't see only 200k+ weeks in Japan at December either way.
Right.
BTW I wasn't expecting g Few to sell gangbusters but a 150k Ltd for both version combined would be nice imho
Is that doable (after they will announce Tarja as dlc character)?
Xenoverse 2 legs could last for a bit. Since it's full priced and sells, the announcement could take a bit longer.
They had a stable PC following, and found success on PSP/handhelds so by 2009 they stopped developing PC games. With how home consoles in Japan had been on a constant downward slope and handhelds are the last viable dedicated gaming market there, Falcom couldn't have chosen a worse timing for going home console exclusive. It is interesting when you think about how they are small time PC developers with a fan following, but it was the PSP aka the handhelds that allowed them to branch out and become more successful and mainstream.
I doubt that they will destroy their forecast without advicing first, serious anti-trust issues otherwise.
Those who have to be informed for October-December shipments already are. I don't know if making it public from now or waiting until January to announce them would make any difference. There have been multiple times with DS and Wii before that Nintendo beated projected forecast by a lot.
Did Splatoon bundles helped Switch sell that many this week, or the bundles are already gone ?
Mind asking when you started your break? The euthanasia of Vita was one of the oddest things to watch in action. Until the end more Vita versions sold better than their first PS3 then PS4 counterparts even when the former were technical trash tier ports, and at one point developers just dropped the Vita versions.I took a big break from Gaf ... my thoughts since I've been away ...
(...)
PSV: I thought it might last slightly longer, but was only going to be otaku type games by now, similar to PC-Engine and Saturn. Surprised that most franchises have already switched to PS4, rather than tried to extend their life on PSV... I guess that Sony is responsible for this.
They've been gone since the last week.
I hope the Switch picks up the Vita audience or Sony and Japanese pubs manage the transition better.
Sen 3 is like absence of a Vita sku sales level.

Apologies, but would you have the week by week comparison for weeks 26-30 in numbers? Curious at what the gap in rates is.
12k is a decent first first week for the consoles first FIFA. Should grow some more next year as more and more people get it. Hopefully it did well in other countries too.
I think it all comes down to how many they manufacture. If they manufacture way more than they forecast to sell, then there would be serious anti-trust issues if they sell that many. (ie; why did they manufacture so many which they didn't forecast to sell?), whereas the opposite (they manufacture too many and are sat with a lot) is just over-optimism, as long as they forecast to sell them.
Anyway, my point is that their forecast should give a good idea of numbers, of course, if they already over produced them, and then demand was far more than supply, then you might see something like that ... but that seems far more like Wii-U situation than Switch situation.
Considering Fifa sales in the UK there's a decent chance Switch won't get Fifa next year.

if you look at last week's post http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=250174055&postcount=111
seems 3DS had a 70K week while Switch managed to hit 73K so chipping away a little on 3DS's lead
Do we ha e rough data for switch sell-through ww?
There is no chance of this happening at all.Considering Fifa sales in the UK there's a decent chance Switch won't get Fifa next year.
UK=decision for future Switch FIFA?Considering Fifa sales in the UK there's a decent chance Switch won't get Fifa next year.
We will have official sell-through data for worldwide at the end of October when the next financial briefing happens.

Since they put in the effort for porting it once, worst case scenario is next year entry being just a roster update.Considering Fifa sales in the UK there's a decent chance Switch won't get Fifa next year.

Yet no problem announcing Xenoverse 2 Deluxe for PS4. ¯\_(ツ_/¯
plus seeing how Knack beat mario, I could see that franchise being quietly buried
UK=decision for future Switch FIFA?
First of all there is still a holiday.
Second of all some of te major UK retailers did not take preorders until a week before release and stock is an issue over there.
Plus the user base isnt even over 400k yet give it Time.
Anyway I think 12k is a good start for the game in Japan.
Ah, thanks. Yeah, only a small thing, and if the Switch resets to the current norm of 45-50k units a week, the 3DS'll still outpace it. Still, doing damned decent business.
The UK is a massive market for FIFA games. It's one of the rare examples of where the UK is actually of importance to a Nintendo release.
The fact that EA has completely bungled the distribution in Europe just makes it worse.

How is Switch doing outside of Japan? i.e. how close to 10 million ww is it currently?
UK is not just a massive market for FIFA, it is the biggest market for FIFA, 3m usually (hard to say exactly with digital nowadays).I think that it's pretty dificult to argue that EA have bungled EU distribution .... Switch version probably makes up less than 1% of FIFA sales.
End of SeptemberJust to clarify, will that be measuring up to October, or like, the end of September?
End of September
Switch was at 4,7m last quarter. With increased shipments from Nintendo it must be somewhere between 7 and 7,5m.How is Switch doing outside of Japan? i.e. how close to 10 million ww is it currently
You literally can't buy it from a lot of places and in Germany a(the?) shipment of physical copies for Switch were delayed due to a customs issue. That classes as bungling to me regardless of what overall percentage it represents.
