Glad to see Star Ocean at least getting some recognition but it should be higher.

also FF XVI sucks and belongs on the most disappointing list instead

When Seas of Stars and FFXVI are in the top 5 (and 2 of the other 3 are DLCs) it makes it sound like it wasn't a particularly strong year for RPGs aside from Baldur's Gate 3

Xenoblade Chronicles Future Redeemed has only 12 reviews from Nintendo outlets, meanwhile Phantom Liberty has over 50 reviews from all the prestigious outlets all over the world. The ranking is flawed when it doesnt take into consideration the amount of reviews and who did them.

Even going to Opencritic Future Redeemed has 16 reviews with 90 average score.
Phantom Liberty has 129 reviews with 89 average score.

I'm not saying that to shit on the Xenoblade dlc, what im trying to get at is that this kind of ranking is misleading since Metacritic starts showing average after just few reviews.

Quit trying to piss in Xeno's Cheerios.

Same

I love Star Ocean The Divine Force but The Second Story R was a fantastic Remake

I hope SquareEnix does more remakes in this visual style. Hoping for a Chrono Trigger and Xenogears Remake in this style
Let them finish Dragon Quest III: HD-2D first (It feels like an eternity since they've announced it...)

I admit I don't quite understand the massively high scores Sea of Stars received.

Finally bought Octopath 2 and so far enjoying it quite a bit more than Octopath 1.

Labyrinth of Galleria is fantastic btw if you enjoy turn based dungeon crawlers. It also has a really interesting story and good voice acting (so did Labyrinth of Refrain)

Good that Starfield got a place on that roster. I really like this game, I really don't understand all the criticism it gets.

I'm tried to convince myself that Diablo IV wasn't crap.
Then I played Grim Dawn. This almost 8 year old game running on the freaking Titan Quest engine beats Diablo IV in every conceivable way, I'm having an absolute blast with it.

As far as the list goes, no Rogue Trader? Guess it was too late to the party.

The list is strictly by metacritic score. Rogue Trader's metacritic was 77 so it didn't make it into the top 25
