For me, adorable = kids, and there are many characters that falls into that line, especially from Japanese games.
Basically Haruka from Yakuza series, and Nanako from Persona 4 - and many others. Very similar archetype and but very effective in bringing up fatherly "want-to-protect" feeling.

In case of Haruka, I've been playing Ryugagotoku since PS2 days - and have had strong feeling to her as my daughter like Kiryu did.

Hence, I really disapproved this dude. (Tatsuya Fujiwara). Never really liked him from beginning (since I first saw him in the movie Battle Royal) - with his 1 note acting style to begin with.
Especially don't like him since

It's really hard to find a good image of her for some reason, but the familiar named "D-PT" from Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time is one of the cutest characters ever. Who doesn't love adorable sprites?

Yes, she can be given a proper name after she's "born." Yeah, that was a cool feature. You get a familiar, and your choices determine which of a few you get, "PT" being one of the possibilities. They have their own personalities, designs, and little questline.

I loved that game.
