I had never even heard of this back in the day, but was looking for something to watch on Tubi and I landed on this.

This cast is absurd:

- Denzel
- James Gandolfini
- Donald Sutherland
- John Goodman
- Embeth Davidtz

All in their peaks in 1998. And the movie stinks! How does this happen? I guess it illustrates the importance of a good director but I was shocked that I didn’t like this movie. Off the top of my head Righteous Kill was also terrible and had Deniro and Pacino.

I always hear this movie referenced a lot, never seen it. A podcast I follow, The Weekly Planet, just did over the last three weeks on their Caravan of Gabage weekly series (note: they cover all sorts of movies they like or dislike, so ignore the “Garbage” part of the title) what they called the “Russel Crowe Histor-ilogy”, they started with Gladiator, and they kept joking that one of the other two movies they’d be covering was Virtuosity and that it was “based on true events” even pretending specific insane sci-fi moments from the film actually happened in real life a while back (note: the other two films they covered were actually Master and Commander and Noah, and I admit to have totally forgotten the latter was a thing, I thought it was going to be Robin Hood).

Fallen is one of those movies where a demonic creature has a successful story.
Holds up with Hereditary, Devil's Workshop, Late Night With the Devil of movies with that unique quality. Makes it great, certainly not a waste.

Exodus: Gods and Kings had a great cast but was a vacant movie.

Oh man that sucks. I wanted to see this because I like his other work. I saw the cast in this and thought Holy Crap! I just haven't had a chance to watch it. I think Rushmore is my favorite. It feels like a John Hughes movie in a way.

Would have only lasted one movie anyway since it was pretty blatant Harrison Ford would only come back in a major role for VII, dude made it clear to Lucas he wanted Han killed off since VI, he never was fond of the character like he was towards Indy or Deckard.

A powerhouse collaboration of Elder Don's that were part of the greatest Cosa Nostra films Cinema has ever been blessed with.

Unnecessary CGI de-aging that had no emotional impact on the story. DeNiro's CGI Blue Eyes took out the soul of his performance. They even had Harvey Keitel. Took too long for them to work together. I was more impressed with Stephen Graham's acting as Tony Pro and even the comedian Sebastian Maniscalco was memorable as his role as Crazy Joe Gallo.

I remember the big sell for this one was that it was the three best actors of their generation.

It's crazy how much Edward Norton fell off during the late 00s. He was HUGE in the late 90s and early 00s. Had a string of hits and killed it in basically every role. Then he did the Hulk for one movie, missed out on the entire MCU after being replaced by Mark Ruffalo, and hasn't been in anything major since then.
