NEO Gamma - next generation humanoid robot designed for household chores

Humanoid robot assistants are going to be commonplace in 10-15 years time, mark my words.

I love how the video only shows able-bodied shitheads who are too lazy to do extremely basic shit.

Might need a robot to breathe for them too.

Just like planned.. and sometime they get tired of you being too lazy to put your keys on the drawer, and they are going to be the boss in the house.

Honestly the shot of the people eating in the kitchen while the robot is casually sitting on the couch in another room felt so freaking surreal. It's so bizarre, yet exciting.

The future is now.

My brain is so fried. I immediately thought of the "cuck chair" meme and how eventually the robot would sit with you in the bedroom as well. Maybe one day you come home and your wife is getting plowed by the robot, so now you need to sit in the chair, and then we basically have this shot but the other way around. I should start writing Doujinshi, or Black Mirror fanfic.

I don't know if it's just me. I feel uneasy watching this video. I would feel so uncomfortable with this thing walking around the house. I wouldn't know if I should say good morning to it or what to do in its presence. This would most likely go away in time. Still these things are not for me.

It looks kinda underwhelming to be honest. I wanna see a robot do some complex tasks or really time consuming stuff. Straightening a painting? Boiling a pot of water?
I'm guessing the video is to get investor money and not to actually attract consumers.

You're not ready for the future, old man.

All it's going to take is some hacked firmwares and the desire for it and we've got a problem with these committing crimes and killing people! Sci-Fi movies have warned us over and over again and humanity has proved we're all too fucking stupid to expect people to not abuse this.

Sitting in the other room...alone...quietly planning how to murder them in their sleep.

Though with how lazy they are in the video that's probably a positive for mankind.

I wouldn't be interested in a humanoid robot if he has to waddle awkwardly like this. Better find a less human-like, more functional way to move and do functional tasks.
A set of robotic arms mounted on a 4-legged base (or complex wheeled base able to climb stairs) would actually be more acceptable.

As long as it comes with absolutely no connection to the outside world id consider one in the future, fuck that shit of having a walking stranger connected to god knows who dandering about your house streaming everything to some fucking gimp in Amazon HQ

The people making this better be recording a series of audio logs on terminals throughout their facility.

Audio log 02: "We created a humanoid robot with superhuman strength and we keep prodding it with a stick to agitate it and test its reaction, we better pray it will never escape"

Audio log 3: "It escaped"

If it isn't a skinny guy in a suit like Elons it's just heavily scripted like Boston Dynamics videos. They must be running out of money and need to get sucker... ahem... investers.

I for one welcome it. Wife and I don't have kids, so we always wonder who and how we will be taken care of when we are old and can't do shit.. Don't want to go to an old age home. So hope these robots are the real deal by then.

That made me uneasy.
Granted it's a video for attracting investors, but I hope when they became available (matter of decades?) will have different shells for someone like me that want something less humanoid.

Unless you can customize it like a chick, then give me gigantic boobas.
