Machine Translation:

Round 8 Studio (hereinafter referred to as Round 8), a Neowiz company that proved the new potential of Korean PC and console games with 'P's Lie', is challenging the global market once again with a new genre.

■ Next work is 'SF survival horror'

According to the game industry on the 29th, Round 8 will release the 'P's Lie' DLC (downloadable content) in the first quarter of next year. As the DLC release approaches, interest in Round 8's next work is also continuing.

To develop its next work, Round 8 is hiring talents such as level designers and scenario planners.

According to the announcement, Round 8 introduced its next work as a 'survival horror project set in a SF world' and announced that it will utilize Unreal Engine 5, targeting PC and console platforms.

'SF survival horror' is a genre that has a solid fan base in the global game market. 'Dead Space' by Electronic Arts of the United States is a representative example, and domestic game company Krafton also challenged this genre with 'Callisto Protocol' in 2022.

A Neowiz official said, “It is still too early to disclose the progress of the project,” and “It is one of the PC and console games that Round 8 Studio is preparing.”

Loves his juicy stink trail scent
I loved Lies of P, but this DLC took waaaaaay too long to put out for a new IP. Depending on how you can access it, there's a high chance most players won't ever touch it unless they want to redo the game from scratch just to understand the flow of the game again.

Their next project though? Day one.

It's weird because now it's been so long since the base game came out that I would be more likely to play the base game + the DLC when it releases, and that actually sounds good. Loved the hell out of my first play through.

Cretinously credulous
How does one play the DLC if they played the Gamepass version earlier?

Also, next project sounds dope.

I was actually thinking of doing another playthrough but I'll just wait and do it with the dlc. Excited to go through it again!

And yeah, I think Dorothy will be tied to the dlc instead of their next game.

Looking forward to it.

I saw that Lies of P was Pro Enhanced, however, haven’t seen any comparison yet. I wonder if the Pro enhancement has done anything to increase awareness of the title.

I still have yet to buy the game, waiting for a steep discount ($30-ish)

I was hoping it would release sooner, but looking forward to it all the same. The base game is amazing and I will probably do another full run despite having one save right by that unused Stargazer.

P.S. I am pretty picky about Sci-Fi horror (enjoyed Dead Space but struggled to finish Calisto Protocol) so I am not looking forward to their take on it.

Kinda same time as Elden Ring DLC no? If its good it should be alright. But yeah i get your point, always hard to come back to a big game after a long time, thats why if i stop playing a big RPG its gg for me, have to start over.

Haven't played Lies of P yet so looking forward to the complete edition. I hope it comes in physical form.
The original physical release was like one truckload for the entire region. One of only two retail games I had to buy digitally on PlayStstion. I doubt there will be any further physical releases.

What time is it?
I appreciated a lot of the mechanical ideas that Lies of P brought to the Souls-like genre (everyone should steal the rally system that let's you earn a healing item once you've depleted your stock and the blade and hilt interchangeability system is brilliant). Sci-Fi is probably my least favorite setting in video games but Neowiz has earned my interest and I hope they have some neat twists for the survival horror genre.

I'm not into Lies of P but I'm interested in their next game since it's a Sci-fi survival horror. If it's done like System Shock 2, RLH, and Prey where we got a immersive station to explore than it could be awesome.

?

I can buy it physical right now. Plenty in stock here where I live.
Maybe a reprint? I'm referring to the PS5 version, of course, which was not available anywhere that would ship to me in Canada. Hell, it's still not stocked on Amazon (all copies come from the USA).

This game wasn't self-published and initially expected to be digital-only. So, any bundle with the DLC would require yet another publishing deal. I still suspect it won't be on disc.
