New Avatar: The Last Airbender ANIMATED Theatrical Film Coming

I’m not really as big into Avatar: The Last Airbender (aside from Zuko’s arc), but I loved its sequel The Legend of Korra!

I’d love to see them make a movie series or full-season adaptation of The Legend of Korra Book 1: Air with the whole Equalist / Amon conflict, cause I feel that was the absolute peak of the Avatar universe in terms of writing and creativity, which unfortunately had to be undercut by Nickelodeon’s dumbfuckery at the time...

As to the topic at hand, they should leave it alone, what ever happened to the live action adaptation?

No other details were given. It’s hard to get excited by this.
It better not be worse than Shyamalan’s version at the very least.

The creators are actually involved so you know this will be good

Aaron Ehasz wasn't a creator of Avatar: The Last Airbender but he did write some of its most memorable episodes. Have you seen The Dragon Prince by him on Netflix? I always thought it was at least a better show than Korea.. up until the last season when they got a little crazy with the shipping. Its still extremely well done.

The frame rate on the trailers was nauseating so never did get to watch that. Someone said they fixed it though?

Not if they walk away again like with the failed live-action movie and the (perpetually delayed) live-action Netflix series.

I give credit to the original creator dudes though (Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko), whenever they disagree with what the people in charge the new projects are doing, they hit the road and don't look back. So really you can always tell if a new Avatar project will turn out OK or not based on if they stay on until the end, the moment they wander off due to "creative differences", you can pretty much write it off too.
