New Warhawk patch coming!

Warhawk Arbiters?

Were there that many problems with abusers and cheaters? If they can fix stat tracking I might keep the game instead of trading it in.

It's not so much cheating as much as it is the ability for players to set up their own ranked games and pad their rank significantly.

as long as they are monitoring team-killing shitheads (i.e. in basically every CTF game), I'll be happy.

I mean, as much as I love randomly being killed with a knife by my own teammate, WITH NO ENEMIES AROUND.... -_-

Umm the stats have been working alright for some time now, there just a bit slow updating, but usually within 20-30 minutes. The only real thing that needs to be fixed are the ranks, they are still off.
As for cheaters there have been some problems, but I have seen abusers kicked out pretty fast, don't know if there getting banned or not though.

That was the biggest problem I encountered. I actually might play ranked games now.
 
They should give everyone on the team a bonus for a successful flag delivery and not just the flag carrier. Because without the team that flag runner is out of luck. It would prevent the flag killing and promote teamwork.

I friggin HATE THIS SOO MUCH... like GOd fricking Christ... how about we return the flippin flag together first instead of killing me when while we try to recover our flag which is feet from the enemie base.. .but NOPE.. douche bag kills me ... then gets killed at which point in time the enemie gets an easy flag cap...

I hate those douches soooo much

I actually think that's a great idea.

My understanding is that its fixed. Though LJ11 is never on, so the clan sits in limbo.

while were on the subject, can the GAFw leader send an invite to xRich? hes on the list and i kept forgetting to tell you when he got the game and logged on.

Nah, stats still sometimes don't record. If you find yourself being given badges you already have, or getting promoted to Airman despite the fact that you glitched to Commander weeks ago, chances are your stats aren't going to update.

Clan bug was fixed weeks ago though. Those of us who still wander the desolate wasteland that is the Official Warhawk thread created a unified GAF clan at around the same time. If you want in, head over to the OT or send Steroyd a PM. I think there are still spots open.

Normally I'm killed because I suck but there have been a few occasions where I've been killed when I haven't even been able to see anyone at all, or even where they would hide if they were hiding with a knife or whatever. One time I was stood on top of a tower in the sky city zone and I was killed repeatedly at close quarters even though no enemy was around at all either visually or on radar.

To me it's fair enough if I get shot in the head from some great distance but cheaters should be booted if there is any exploit at all outside of game mechanics that enhances their kill ratio. Even resetting a cheat's score to 0 might be sufficient disincentive to stop people doing it.

Yup. That's why I'm all about the TF2 now. It'll take more than patching stats to get me back to Warhawk on a regular basis.

I played a ranked CTF game about two weeks ago, where the majority of people from both teams were in collusion and doing some goofy "ranking up" ritual. I didn't understand what was going on at first, and I was trying to play the game the normal way. I figured something was screwy when even my own teammates were trying to shoot me and hinder my progress.

When all was said and done, I did benefit, so it wasn't a total waste of my time...but I'd much rather hone my skills so I can legitimately earn ranking rather than having it given to me on a silver platter. For me, ranking is secondary...having fun comes first!

The reason why I've given up on online multiplayer games. I only play if I know the group of people I am playing with.

It's going to be hard to clean out all the assholes. Last time I played multiplayer online was Gears of War (great mp) and I just didn't enjoy it because of people.

Edit: actually that isn't true. I was on the Warhawk beta and thought it was a great game but in the end didn't get it because of the above issues I have with people.

yep, I hope they keep that awards/ribbons if they go through with it. I don't want to spend 50 hours in a warhawk again... getting pwned by people who use pro flight while I spam tow missiles in normal flight.

Ask and ye shall receive, total. Warhawk is the most addictive game I never want to play because of how broken, poorly coded and annoying it is, so news of this patch has made my day.
 
You guys ever think that the team killing isn't all intentional? Sometimes its not too easy to tell who is and isn't on you're team if you're new to the game or just have a hard time paying attention to the details of their costumes.

what? the game is the best multiplayer on consoles (and beyond), despite the few issues it has....
 
The game really is awesome, but I can't play it for long periods of time since my body feels like it has to sit like 2 feet away from my TV with my neck pointed forward. :(

Ok... So that would be a ridiculous amount of time. What's you're point? Other online games with serious problems were patched repeatedly until problems were fixed. WarHawk had an extensive beta and they still couldn't sort out the enormous bugs with the server lists in a reasonable amount of time...

Half the bugs have been. I'd like to use TF2 as an example. It went into beta 3 weeks ago. At the beginning of the beta, I couldn't play the game without crashing in a minute. By the time the beta was over, I could play fine. Over the next two weeks they fixed minor bugs and were tweaking the game balance throughout.

WarHawk was in beta for weeks and has been out for months and has managed to solve half the major issues the game had. Half of them remain.

I love WarHawk, but waiting on patches has been abysmal.

first of all, beta bugs were not in the final game. Final game introduced new ones, most of them coming from the fact that they have 8,000-10,000 players active all the time.

second of all, if you really liked Warhawk, you would play it anyway since bugs are/were nuisance and nothing else. Like everyone else does.

****Viral Rank-up bug fixed and correct for players that were accidentally ranked up.
****Time-in-Vehicle” Stats fixed so certain awards can now be granted properly.

so for all those talks about stat reset, you won't really get a reset but the ranks will be fair, and stat padders would get their stats "cleansed" by the arbiters when caught padding.

New bugs, of which half have been fixed in two months. 8 000 to 10 000 doesn't sound particularly abnormal for a new online game, either. Of course, it's entirely alright for them to have growing pains...

I do play it anyways. It bugs me, though. Unfortunately, I can't rank up and customize my character because it's pointless trying to join a ranked server because you can never tell if they're full or not. They fixed stat-tracking, but fixing it was totally pointless because I still can't play on servers in which stats are tracked.
