What’s gone wrong with Surface?
Not fit for corporate use. They'll be the next/final Microsoft hardware division to shutdown before they go all software.

We've come full circle back to when Gates was just a kid. Anything hardware from Microsoft is literally against their dna and an aberration.

Damn, I remember back in the 90s the only hardware they did was SideWinder games controllers, Intellimouse and Ergonomic Keyboard.

I did have a Surface Book as I loved the form factor. Windows just never felt right with touch though, the battery didn’t last long and boy was it hot.

Traded it in for an iPad Pro not long after buying.

There is a reason there is no growth in the PS5 compared to PS4 . ... or at least that big if a growth that Sony wants.

But in the case of Sony, you kinda have to wait at least a 1 year for the game to get ported to PC. so that keeps the PlayStation valuable for those that actually love Sony's first-party games ( who the fuck wants more horizon ? ) anyway.

the same can't be said about the Xbox. My PS5 Pro is basically an exclusive games machine. Got Stellar blade used, finished it, and sold it. Have a GT7, not on PC, Finished GOW: R and sold it before it hit the PC, and so on.

but buying an Xbox ? if you don't have a PC with the 2070s and above then yeah I guess could be worth it. otherwise, no Xbox is dead. and their sales figures show that.
Ps5 games coming out on Steam on timed delay doesn't seem to have affected ps5 sales to any visible extent, versus Xbox series with day and date pc releases plus gamepass subscribers availability. Not sure what would cause that to change with ps6. In any case there's still plenty of life left in the ps5 generation despite Xbox blowing it's brains out.
