You can swap them freely and save presets. What I mean is, the way some of them work is character A is carrying a buff for character B, and you can't assign that buff to B because the rock is in a "color" which only A can carry.

That's silly. Hope there is something for solo players otherwise I'm gonna be seeing Player A/B/C needs to slot in these buffs for Player X/Y/Z for farming runs.

So with Murk you'll be able to purchase new Relics. You'll also be able to perform Relic Rites, which allow you to switch around the colour coding for each character. So, potentially give different characters new Relics. You'll be able to purchase gestures and you'll be able to purchase new character skins as well.

^^^for anyone who is curious what to do with the murk they get (when the game comes out). So I guess it really doesn't matter what color the relics are at the end of the day. You'll just switch around the colors to fit. Hopefully they make a firekeeper or lady maria skin for duchess.
 
exactly, the parameter would be chests and bosses dropping loot only for your class. Limiting each character to a few weapon types could be more interesting imo, not like there aren't enough ash of war and affinity combinations.
It would definitely be an interesting limiter, but I do wonder if it would clash with their philosophy behind the openness of their games. Especially with Elden Ring specifically, it always felt like the creators were not in favor people setting arbitrary limits and instead were encouraging the usage of items, magic, summons, and any other means in order to get the job done. Like it felt like they wanted you to break the game to a reasonable degree.

I guess what I'm saying is that I can see both positives and negatives of your way vs their way.

Far to often, I've had a completely messed up 1st days, not enough levelling and too much indecisiveness.

I think we get fsr too little time before the big fight.

I think it should be 3 days then the end boss fight after the 3rd day.

If you don't get a good team then this game is frustrating as hell.

In the last two games, one person has left. I don't think you get punished for leaving on the test, then I've died and gone into the boss fight on level 1.

I managed to beat the final boss again with two of my friends. Game is fun as hell but can get a bit repetitive for sure. I hope the final game has plenty more maps and entry points.

I'm gonna skip this.

Maybe if some friends want to get it down the road when it's cheaper, but it's a no for now.

2 W's tonight outta the 4 I played. Yeah kinda sucks when you get a team that doesn't really cooperate or just does dumb stuff like taking on Loretta at lvl 1. All in all though really fun. Played with duchess all 4 games today cuz I found a relic that just straight up gives you bleed. She's really fun to play as.

Some things that I wish were improved/fixed :

-wish there a bit more downtime at the end of each night to regroup and check out items and synergies.
-hopefully there is some additional thought about balance of solo play
-the more randomized each run is, the better
-The Item Passives text for many items are cut off at end so you cannot see the full text
-improvements to the ping system. perhaps somehow implement multiple ping types for loot, go here now, help, etc.
-losing a level along with losing your runes upon death may be too punishing for average players. perhaps just losing runes would be better. If you die with 0 runes, then losing a level would be acceptable.
-the mines should be much more straight forward to explore.
-would be nice to be able to sell items to the merchants
-rerolls on the 3 choices from defeating bosses (costing runes each time you do it?) would be nice

Yeah I'd like to be able to select a ping although, if I'm pinging a church it should be obvious I think we should grab an extra flask.

I feel it's a bit too rushed before the nightreign closes in, that's why I think a 3rd proper day is needed. Either that or lengthen the day.

I'll buy the collector's edition and the helmet but I think it needs to be slightly improved when playing with random players.

Yeah I wouldn't be against a 3rd daytime.

The ping system needs some improvement. A ping queue would be nice too. Like it would show on the map Wylder[1], Wylder[2], etc. Might be hard to manage and overwhelming on the map lol but idk. Just something needs to be improved with that given there's a severe lack of communication.

Like in your example, if the church is kinda far away, are we stopping to any clear camps/POIs on the way or just going in a straight shot to the church? Hard to know.

Finally last night during the final test window I was able to match with two decent players who were able to carry me through the 2 days and beat the final boss. It didn't help that they put a dog in the starting area which kept killing me.
