FYI -
To start playing the Shattered Space expansion, players must complete the introductory mission of the main quest, One Small Step. After you’ve completed One Small Step, the first time players grav-jump to an orbit that is not used by a mission or encounter, they will receive a distress call and discover a large star station, The Oracle.

Any player can take on the challenge in Shattered Space, but reaching level 35 is recommended for the best experience.

Reviews haven't meant shit to me since the old magazine days when reviews back then seemed to be a lot more legitimate. Now, it's nothing but clicks and ad revenue. As someone who loves Starfield and has it as his current game of the generation, im super hyped and ready for Shattered Space. A few more days to go!! Let's go!! :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I have the game loaded up with my last save. Going to jump in and play a bit this weekend to re-familiarize myself a bit. Looking forward to the expansion. Hopefully it is a good story at least.

Well, seeing what Game Journalism has come to, I don't blame them.

PC Gamer and IGN are too busy figuring out how to make this Starfield DLC review somehow become a negative article about Wukongs developer.

I don't know if this means anything bad or not. It is DLC afterall, and there could be some limitations on releasing codes out for it? It could also be Bethesda going back to their old ways where they do not give our review codes. Do they have a history of giving out review codes on large DLCs?

I believe this DLC is the game's last chance to change the gaming public's overall opinion on this game. I for one enjoyed Star Field. Not the best game ever, but I still had a lot of fun in it. But I also understand the complaints others have on it.

Here's a free spoiler for Shattered Space reviews:

+ Fun, self-contained adventure
+ Feels more like a the classic Bethesda experience
+ Cosmic horror
+ New weapons/armor/ships/etc are nice

- Doesn't fix the core issues
- Still a flawed experience

Should be a fun OT. Just people that liked Starfield playing, and everyone just making up their own mind without a narrative.

Have ChatGPT turn that into an article for you and slap 7/10 at the end and you are qualified to write for IGN

Wouldn't even disagree with any of that. Only thing I expect to be "fixed" for the expansion is that everything is in the one planet and contained so I do think the exploration will be better but outside of the expansion, it goes back to what it was.

Hopefully this is the last dlc for this game, and they move full on with ES6,
Starfield was just too ambitious, especially with this engine.
Get back to one big map with ES6, somethign they know how to do, and something this aging engine can do.

Bethesda is committed to supporting this game for years. They're big enough now to support multiple projects and would have no impact on TESVI.

Or confident on the lack of quality of the media. They've kind of hated games media for a while, and it's pretty clear they have actual enemies.
Yep, nothing new to anyone who follows Bethesda. I imagine Todd Howard has a picture of Jason Schreier in his office that he throws darts at for stress relief. He's still bitter about the F4 leak lmao.

No pre-release reviews is always a sign of confidence and quality.
I don't think it means anything. Helldivers 2 didn't have any pre-release review. Astrobot reviews were set to be just 1 day before release( even though Sony had historically done 1 week before release reviews), bloodborne( if I remember correctly, also had only it's review embargo set just one day before release). Cyberpunk 2077 on the other hand had it's review embargo before release and we all know how crap it was at release

So as far as mods, I haven't seen any good ones. Nexus seems to have changed over the years, and the ones in the Creation menu seem...eh.

Any suggestions?
