Yes people have some crazy spin going right now to think the hardware sales right now are normal and indicative of a new console gen.

Right now 360 and PS3 should be selling like crazy regardless of a new console gen starting soon. That would be a normal console transition. Price was kept up too long and the generation was allowed to go too long.

I wouldn't be surprised to see PS360 stay flat in hardware sales next month. If I recall correctly, GTAIV barely lifted sales.

To be fair, I think that, at this point, sales of PS360 would be more modest than they are currently, but not "selling like crazy"

I think price is the main factor. If PS3 320GB was $150 it'd be doing drastically better. Hell I might even have one.

it definitely wasn't in the uk, well unless the wii u has managed to only sell ~35k units since launch week, it would have a lower attach rate than current gen

Note: Splinter Cell is #4, so it's below 294K. Conviction opened at 486.1K on Xbox 360 back in April 2010.

And it's not like Conviction was the best selling game in the series either. Ubisoft have really run the series into the ground.

I wouldn't be so sure, a lot of Wii u owners seem interested in watchdogs if the port is good and they make good use of the gamepad it could do "relatively" well

Disney Infinity is #3 with ~300k sales. Pikmin 3 is at #10, is ~180k likely? I don't really know, just seems that the difference between #3 and #10 would be greater.
