Nvidia is capping game streaming hours on GeForce Now instead of raising fee

People who defend cloud and rent services are really stupid. When this become the only model to play(cloud + rent ms dream) they will control everything even how long you play.

well, isn't it a good thing then that GeForce now isn't a rent service?

it's a way to play the PC games you own on hardware that wouldn't be able to run them.

GeForce Now is exactly how cloud streaming should be. an optional service to play your own games with.

To whoever plays more that 100 hours per month, gaming is becoming a hobby where you should invest in a decent PC.

I looked at the gifs hosting page had a link to this trash

LMAO

The lyrics to that "song".........

Why you lyin' on your dick, lyin' on your dick?
I smell cap
He say he like cat

But that is not a fact

Fucking brain rot music.

Anyway, on topic. Fuck Nivdia.

Imagine having an ultimate tier and having restrictions in it. I just checked my playtime from last month and it's says 20 hours. But next month will be much higher. GFN was a great option to ditch pc and consoles. Now I'm not sure. It's crazy to me that we have restrictions for a system that requires us to own the games to begin with.

That's an interesting way of celebrating becoming the most valuable company in the world.

Now imagine a world in which streaming is the leading way of how people play games. One click on the big corpo's side and the deal changes, suddenly limiting how you can enjoy your hobby.

And cloud continues to be a joke. Imagine paying full price for Netflix only for them to turn around and say "actually, you've had enough Netflix this month."
The point of a cloud subscription gaming service is to game whenever you want, wherever you want. Laughable change.

Honestly it was probably me but the one time I tried gforce now it was a terrible experience. The thing took me to a virtual desktop and had me downloading cyberpunk on it.

I put in 98 hours on Metaphor in like 2 weeks last month and about ~175 hours on Satisfactory in September alone. This shit is completely unworkable.

I already had massive security issues with the idea that I'd just login my steam account on someone else's cloud system to begin with.

It absolutely is a rent service. It's hardware renting.
