So will this be like what they did with Quake 2 RTX, where you get the whole game if you already own the orig game?
Amazing. This used to be my fave game of all time, and it deserves a new facelift!.Yes. The game already has its own Steam page:
And it's going to be completely free for everyone who owns the original game.
But do you have to have an Nvidia card? RTX Remix is open source.Yes. The game already has its own Steam page:

They are made by Nvidia, to show off the capabilities of RT. Thats my understanding anyway. Pretty sure thats how it was with Quake 2 anyway.I'm confused about these RTX remakes. I understand they're being made by modders, but the marketing seems more like something made by Nvidia outsourced to a developer studio.
Hope it's locked to Nvidia. Don't want AMD and Intel peasants enjoying this masterpiece. But do you have to have an Nvidia card? RTX Remix is open source.

Pretty sure they make them available to everyone just to troll AMD users (like myself).Hope it's locked to Nvidia. Don't want AMD and Intel peasants enjoying this masterpiece.

Do they finally added full controller supports to hl2?Yes. The game already has its own Steam page:

Q2 was an attempt of a "fully path traced" game with no raster. They are made by Nvidia, to show off the capabilities of RT. Thats my understanding anyway. Pretty sure thats how it was with Quake 2 anyway.
Its been in the PC version since The Orange BoxDo they finally added full controller supports to hl2?
They've made new 3D assets? That's nice, the extra detail will help the RTX shine even more.
Yeah when this was revealed I thought it was a year out. Now? It may as well be vaporware lolThe team remaking it seem to be looking for random people to do most of the new assets in the game. I wouldnt expect this to release anytime soon based on their twitter page. At the very least in 5 years or so.
Does it work flawlessly or it is one of those old fps controller implementations that sucks absolute asses? Its been in the PC version since The Orange Box
Lol, i think you can run this game starting at 549 just fine.Totally not worth 2000$.
Whoa what the hell is going on hereRTX Skin & Neural Radiance Cache is coming to RTX Remix
Portal RTX will be updated with NRC. Should be a nice improvement.
HL1 remake done with the same level of care as the silent hill 2 remake would be amazingI would love a remake/remaster for HL1 and 2
Why not play Black Mesa?HL1 remake done with the same level of care as the silent hill 2 remake would be amazing
The damn vines grew and took over the building. I imagine they're redoing stuff.is that an RTX Remix project or are they actually redoing stuff manually?
nvidia is cool but hey are pushing old games to showcase their new tech which is a pretty funny situation IMO. Modern gaming is really that bad.
Console, please.
i played at hl1 remake like... 15 years agoWhy not play Black Mesa?
I couldn't force any type of AA in it, it seems it got broke since the Xen update. Instead I replayed HL1 RTX and it was magnificent. Why not play Black Mesa?

It works flawlessly with a official Xbox controller. Not sure about some none official PC controller, or PS controller.Does it work flawlessly or it is one of those old fps controller implementations that sucks absolute asses?
Looks good, but I've seen better
