Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live 2025 is reportedly increasing ad slot prices, with top-tier slots costing nearly $500,000, according to a new report.
According to the report, 30-second ads will cost €140,000 (around $146,800 USD), while the longest 180-second slots are priced at a staggering €465,000 (around $487,556 USD). These represent major jumps compared to 2024.
The updated pricing for each ad slot tier for Opening Night Live 2025 is as follows:

• 30 seconds: €140,000 / around $146,800 USD (€115,000 in 2024)
• 60 seconds: €205,000 / around $215,000 USD (€165,000 in 2024)
• 90 seconds: €270,000 / around $283,100 USD (€215,000 in 2024)
• 120 seconds: €335,000 / around $351,200 USD (€265,000 in 2024)
• New tiers:
  • 150 seconds: €400,000 / around $419,400 USD
  • 180 seconds: €465,000 / around $487,600 USD

Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live raises ad prices, charging as much as $480K in 2025

Gamescom will kick off on Aug. 19, 2025 with yet another installment of Geoff Keighley extravaganza Opening Night Live. The commercial-based show charges for ad slots, and according to a report from German video game magazine GamesWirtschaft, prices are going up.

The report says that ad costs at next year’s Opening Night Live will range from €140,000 (around $147,000 USD) for 30 seconds to €335,000 (around $351,000 USD) for two minutes, representing an average increase of 25% from 2024. A new three-minute tier will cost a whopping €465,000 (around $487,000 USD).

Opening Night Live reportedly garnered 40 million views in 2024, doubling those of the previous year. Notable announcements at that show included a short Borderlands 4 tease, a first look at Mafia: The Old Country, and a release date reveal for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
