The Overwatch 2 servers have been hit by a “mass” distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on the game’s launch day. That’s according to Blizzard president Mike Ybarra, who said on Tuesday that the company is doing its best to resolve issues preventing players from accessing the game.

“Teams are working hard on server issues with Overwatch 2,” he tweeted. “We are humbled by the excitement of players and will continue to focus on issues and get players into the fun! Thanks for your patience.

Yup, it was to cut costs to players that paid for a product, and it was to divert resources to this OW 2 game, also to fuck people that had any currency leftover.

DDOS attacking them? It's shitty, but they never did tell us they were going to KILL OW 1 until a few days before they actually did it, so they're kind of scummy fucks here themselves.

Seriously. The amount of bugs I have encountered so far along with the unbalanced roster makes me wonder what the heck they were doing all these years of development.

This is perhaps the worst launch I have seen. Well, maybe Cyberpunk and no man's sky was worse, but this one is definitely in my top 5.

Man, i really wanted this game to do well. I really do.

I can't help but feel like it's an excuse, I mean, Blizzard has a reputation of having bed shitting launch days. But... I don't think people care about OW2 to break the servers due to mass population, or even DDOS them. Unless there are people out there that hate OW2 or Blizzard and just want to fuck with them. But who knows.

The game is STILL extremely bizarre to me. I watched some footage today, and aside from the ever so slightest changes in UI and mechanics, it looks damned identical, lol.

Then they would be down. It's the same servers. It's the same game. People have called this 2.0 for a reason and they're not wrong. A new interface and unlock system doesn't magically make this a whole new game with it's own servers. It's the same assets, same levels, same modes, same characters, same everything. This would be like getting sad over Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because it isn't original Mario Kart 8.

Most people here even joked about this game being 2.0 and not actual 2, but now suddenly those same people are up in arms that OW 1 is somehow dead. I've played the game today before the servers started acting funny. It's the exact same game but 5v5. Choose which thing to complain about, but it literally can't be both.

I don't support this type to of thing for the record, but we have many MP titles that still exist from the start of last gen, literally BF4 still can be played, to kill this game off shouldn't shock anyone that they'd have some backlash or something.
