I was trying to find out when SF III will be released on PAL territories so first I checked my newsgroup mails from Capcom Europe...Having no luck I proceeded to the gamefaqs boards to see if there was any luck. And that's what I found on the 3rd Strike board:

I e-mailed Capcom of Europe this is what I sent them:

"Hi,
Is Street Figther 3:Third Strike coming out on the PS2 in europe?
If so do you have a release date?
Thanks"


This is their reply:

"Hi there,

No plans at present...

Best regards,

CAPCOM"

I cannot understand it....How can it be ? I mean...they released Hyper Street Fighter II and they don't release SF III ???
I don't get it. I already have the DC version but it would be great for me to own it on PS2...
It seems the XBOX release lasts untouched...but I wanted to own it separatelly...
Oh damn, this sucks.

It seems that's the case. Message from Capcom's Europe site Admin:

Street Fighter 3rd Strike will not be released in Europe on PS2.

The "Anniversary Collection" - including Hyper SFII, SFIII 3rd Strike and the Animated Movie - will be released on Xbox only later in the year.

It seems the XBOX release lasts untouched...but I wanted to own it separatelly...

Is it untouched though? What about XBL play?

Don't get too mad at them, they are sending a Capcom Street Team to different locations in Europe to demonstrate the PS2 lineup.
