Whhaaaattt???
This series ended for whatever reason like a decade before Hermen Hulst became head of WWS.Why bother? I thought Japan Studio's games "didn't sell"?
Or was that more Hermen Hulst propaganda?

This IP has been quiet for years. Herman had nothing to do with it.Why bother? I thought Japan Studio's games "didn't sell"?

More Japan Studio games on Switch please!!!
More Japan Studio games on Switch please!!!
And rescue Gravity Rush!!
Day 1 if Sony decides to license the IP to Bamco and they re-release the games as a Gravity Rush collection.More Japan Studio games on Switch please!!!

We need themdamn... Gravity Rush 1/2 on Switch 2 is a real possibility now isn't it?
an intriguing thought![]()

Not yet, I'm looking forward to that game, steam page:Great games, but since I own them both twice already, I probably won't pick them up again.
Did that spiritual successor of Patapon ever release?
These games were largely made and geared towards the Japanese audience, a market that Xbox is damn near nonexistent in. It makes a lot of sense to not even bother with them in that regard. Why not release it also on xbox if you don't care to do the release youself. I bet everybody's golf is also not on xbox. It doesn't make any sense.

Sony will never play ball with Xbox, even for something as irrelevant as Patapon. It's just business. Why not release it also on xbox if you don't care to do the release youself. I bet everybody's golf is also not on xbox. It doesn't make any sense.
Why release on a dead system? These games are niche to begin with. Sales on Xbox would likely be triple digits at best. Why not release it also on xbox if you don't care to do the release youself. I bet everybody's golf is also not on xbox. It doesn't make any sense.
PATA PATA PATA PON!No thanks, its not LocoRoco and Patapon was just annoying
Seems like Freedom Wars was part of a larger initiative between Sony and Bandai Namco..
I think Bloodborne if it ever happens will be a full-fat PS Studios title.Bloodborne Remastered

Of course, I just couldn't hold myself from making that reference given The Japan Studio Connection across this recent wave of SIE licenced game ports coming out of Bandai NamcoI think Bloodborne if it ever happens will be a full-fat PS Studios title.
This seems to be mostly about the smaller more obscure titles.
I wish Xbox, Sega and Nintendo would license out their unused IPs like this tbh. Good source of revenue for very little work.Of course, I just couldn't hold myself from making that reference given The Japan Studio Connection across this recent wave of SIE licenced game ports coming out of Bandai Namco![]()

It's also business to not support your main competitor. Its business to make money.

In a broad sense, sure. But they are in direct competition with Xbox for the living room space with similarly powered consoles. They don't want to strengthen their direct console competitor under any circumstances. At this point both Switch and pc is more of a competition to Sony. Like I said I have access to those games on three platforms but I don't see how it's reasonable to skip Xbox if you are happily support all other platforms.
The point is you're going to see more of this with new game announcements. See saga frontier. Publishers are constantly reassessing the market. Its business to make money.
Bandai is fine releasing the other stuff on xbox tho.
