PlayStation Home was pretty much everything that PlayStation wants right now lol

That’s cool, I’m good.

If they kept it going on the PS4 it would have paid for itself and the ps5 with it's fast loading would have been a game changer. I wish it was still around.

Come on, are all you going to redeem Playstation Home now after all the shit you threw on it? I hardly can support that now Killzone, Infamous, Motorstorm and MAG (i mean, MAG!!!) are redeemed just because you need to blame Sony for new things they did in this gen but please, don't Say Home was Awesome, everybody here Hated it (like most part of all you threw Shit on Killzone and all the other IPs Sony had during that days)

Maybe I’m built differently but I just want to log on and play some games. All of this chill on a virtual couch and customize a virtual room does not appeal to me whatsoever. I’d rather socialize with friends while playing a good game. Otherwise I’ll just meet them in person.

This is why I really love PC, I can distance myself as much as possible from stuff like this and cater my experience exactly how I want it to be.

There are so many amazing games out there and not enough time to play them all. Why would you want to waste your time on something like PS Home is how I see it.

Yep, the concept was there too early, the tech wasn't there. But today, it would make much more sense especially with a compat with psvr.

Imagine the potential of reimagining PlayStation Home as a fully realized virtual world. Your game purchases could be displayed in a personalized virtual library, offering a unique way to celebrate your collection. Social interactions would take on a new dimension—imagine visiting a friend's virtual house and seeing them actively playing their game in real-time. This could even replace the traditional PS5 dashboard, creating a more immersive and interactive gaming experience. Surely, this would be a far better investment than projects like Concord or other GaaS games that Sony has canceled.

Loved Playstation Home and that little app that used the PS3"s processing power to help with science research or whatever.

If you know, you know.

Feel sorry for Gen Z and Gen Alpha, you guys have missed a lot of good stuff over the years man

The only time I opened it, I went to a public space and all around me were people dancing and typing non-stop "Gangnam Style! Gangnam Style!"
I closed it straight away.

If I recall correctly, they originally intended to do something like this. They also wanted trophies to be represented as full 3D models within PlayStation Home. They must have quickly realized that making these 3D models would have taken up more development resources, so they largely abandoned the plan to do this on a broad scale. However, there were a few games that awarded their own 3D modeled trophies and/or clothing for your avatar within Home.

Home, was that the thing where you had to stand in a line to play pool or arcade? Thanks, but no thanks.

Certain games were set up like that, perhaps to imitate an actual game room with limitations on available games. Later, they allowed you to either earn or purchase some of those games, so that you could place them in your own personal space and play as much as you want.

It was a fun idea at the time, but it suffered from lack of processing power, lack of & slow storage and internet connections.
They made a kid friendly MMOish game too with similar tech called Free Realms. It too was ahead of its time.
