Depends on what you think about Obama's plan I guess. Both candidates support a cap and trade policy, but Obama's is geared towards auctioning the carbon permits through a system to generate more government revenue. McCain plans for many credits and to just let the market price these permits. Obama's approach is fairly aggressive (with equally aggressive results in reducing carbon emissions though) and I think the critics are worried the auctioning will hurt some of the 'smaller' coal plants?greepoman said:

Some good news from Montana, nearly 180,000 people have voted in Montana, thats roughtly 40% of the total vote in 2004 where a total of 450,000 people voted.
Obama leads 61 to 35 among those 180,000 people
thats nearly 110,000 voted for Obama and 63,000 for McCain
so for the 270,000 voters for election day, its estimated McCain leads Obama 53 to 40
that means McCain is projected to have a total of 206,000 votes
and Obama is projected to have a total of 218,000 votes
thats extremely close, but for McCain its even closer because not all of those 53% may show up to vote and Obamas GOTV effort might top him over in montana

I can't believe people are still concerned about Pennsylvania. The closest ANY poll has shown that race in over a month is a small handful within 4 points. Almost all others show it with Obama winning by double digits.

Like most of GAF, I'm despererate for Obama to win. In the past, I wouldn't have hated a McCain victory. But that was before he became a puppet shouting out vulgar soundbites for the proud-armies of ignorance, and choosing that woman for his running mate. He's a lost cause now.

What amazes me is the fundementalist reaction. Not content with yelling 'terrorist' and 'behead him' at the rallies, some of the forums are actually labelling an Obama victory as Osama Bin Laden's Plan B.
There is no possible concievable way that this notion makes sense to a rational mind. Its pure angry emotion, trying to form a counter argument which simply bypasses those awkward obstructions, namely facts and evidence.
One way or another, the amount of angry people by Wednesday is going to be staggering.
