Presence trailer horror fans get in here!

It looks like it has been shot entirely from the perspective of the entity, it could be interesting. Although, the last few Soderbergh films have let me down, I still very much like he's work.

That's a good catch. I hadn't noticed but upon rewatching I think you're right. The house reminds me of the house from Hereditary.
Most of the shots and camera movement imply it, for example the wide angle shots where we can see the environment/room as a scene is taking place. We've almost seen the entire layout of the house from the trailer alone. Then you've got shots like the one creeping slowly behind the girl walking up the stairs, and ones where it is leaning over the character as if the entity was standing over them. The one that really gives it away is the side shot of Lucy Liu as she quickly turns her head to the left and the camera moves away from her - this scene captures the feeling of something being present in the room/staring at Lucy Liu.

The scene where the guy is scrambling upstairs followed by the entity maybe the entity isn't actually the evil presence?

Maybe. But maybe that was the entity manifesting it's presence. Perhaps the shaky came effect is used to represent the moments of it interacting with the characters? Like when it was following the guy up the stairs, the camera is shaking a lot. What throws me off is the part where the table is shaking and the cup falls off, that felt like an actual earthquake.

Didn't see this thread , just stuck the trailer in the general one we have.

Looks good. Soderbergh can be hit or miss for me, but he did make The Knick and Traffic so ill always give his stuff a go.

Let me guess, we get a spook's eye view of a dysfunctional family, with all the horror coming from the living?
Cute idea, if so.

Opinion based only just watching the trailer, did not know it existed before-hand.

Soderbergh has a pretty eclectic filmography, I don't think he's done horror before. The trailer interesting before all the shaky cam.

I'll keep an eye out for this, hopefully it's good and isn't infested with excess shaky cam during horror scenes throughout the movie.
