With the arrival of the Vita TV on Nov. 14th in Japan, I figured that it'd be a good idea to make a thread where importers can share their impressions and curious people can ask about it.

Importers - If you're getting one, post here so I'll add you to the list.

FAQ
- Q: What's this?
A: The Vita TV is basically a normal Vita with a HDMI output and the screen stripped out. It plays retail Vita games, digital PS1, PSP and Vita games and PS4 games via Remote Play. It supports the DualShock 3 and 4 controllers (though DS4 support might only be patched in after launch). - Q: Do I need the overpriced memory cards for this or has it got some internal memory?
A: Like the Vita-2000, it's got 1 GB of internal memory, which is enough for your savestates if you're going full retail, but not really much if you're interested in downloading your games from the PS Store. - Q: What resolution does it output at?
A: It supports 480p, 720p and 1080i. - Q: How do I use touchscreen functionality with a DualShock 3?
A: According to this article, pressing L3 or R3 brings up a pointer which can then be moved around. - Q: Which games are supported?
A: The japanese site has a list of supported games here. Unsupported games will not run on the system. - Q: Are retail games region-locked?
A: No. For example, you can play your US copy of Persona 4 Golden on your Vita TV.
