[PS2] Final Fantasy X International (jp) for cheap

DarienA

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
I don't see that weekly special price on the page when I go... also what was added to the International version?

EDIT: That's weird.. I see now on the search page it shows up as 22.90 and it does in the shopping cart.

- English voices
- Choice of Japanese or English text
- New, less linear Sphere Grid available
- New super boss fights (Dark Aeons, Penance)
- A few new abilities added to both Sphere Grids
- A few new armors and armor abilities available
- Some minor balance tweaks
- Includes "Another Story: Eternal Calm", the epilogue video that sets up FFX2

All of the above but the Japanese text and (I think) the epilogue video are included in the PAL version, by the way. Incidentally, this version isn't all that different from the original as you can see, but the enhanced versions of Kingdom Hearts (Final Mix) and FFX2 (International + Last Mission) do have more extensive changes and additions.

English voices? Blah... I'd actually pick this up if it were Japanese voice with English text. I wonder how the Japanese feel about the English VA?

Another difference between the PAL version and the Japanese version is that the PAL version is considerably slower and has big borders above and below the picture. :/

Probably thrilled, because

1) it's different from the Japanese VA they've already gotten
2) there's a lot of stupid fanboys who love English voice acting regardless of whether said acting is actually any good. because English is COOL

They think the English dub is good since they don't really know English. You guys cream your pants for a Japan dub, but don't really know much Japanese. Both of us know what bad acting sounds like in our own tounge and, as such, are driven to the foreign dubs.

I think the US dub of FFX was mostly good, though. Most of the problems I found in it are poor editing decisions and the decision to record it in the tradtional, impersonal Hollywood fashion. Like so many of todays animated features, the voice actors never actually worked with each other. That Luca scene was still awful though, Yuna a bit flaky and Tidus was annoying at times, but the rest was top-notch. FFX-2 didn't seem to suffer these issues at all.

If you want a bad US dub, look no further than Shenmue and Shenmue II. Thank God I imported Shenmue II.

Onimusha 3? Man, they could have kept the whole thing in French for all I care. What's the point of getting Jean Reno if you're gonna get someone to dub over him?

Changed the rules to fit American fans.

I've seen a lot of complaints about the English voice acting on Japanese message boards, though.

If they didn't whine about getting what they asked for, what kind of fanboys would they be?
