Looks ancient, like why would anybody play this?Gran Turismo 4 omg!
Unless they allow you to use your own disc, not happening unfortunately. Games like these are a licensing hell.Gran Turismo 4 omg!
Guess what. You won't get any of themThe only PS2 games that I want as of right now is Haunting Ground, Project Zero 2: Crimson Butterfly and The Thing. Those are the only ones that I don't have access to legit outside emulation. Other than that, I own every PS2 game I want through re-releases, either on PS3 or PS4. I hope PS5 brings some good shit to the table. I read that the programmer for this particular emulator has worked on PCSX2, so the quality on the ports should be good.

You'll get some shitty Harry Potter game, and you'll be happy.
I know the pain to well waiting for Sony to put the actual good games out on emulation

Years. Years upon years of waiting..
Hoping..
Cursing!
I really hope (Again..), that is the only thing that halted getting their library on there and we'll see more.I reckon there will be more published now on PS5 since Sony has dropped mandatory trophy support. That's why PS2 releases on PS4 came to a halt.
No reason if they make sure these emulated versions run well on PS6 BC. They don't have to do this from scratch every single gen.Far too late and too little. Now it will be half-heartedly supported again for 2-3 years and with ps6 there will be no support for it again for years if at all.
Bandai Namco likes to support the initiative, so it should be fairly soon.I hope for something like Ridge Racer V. I mean Type 4 did release on PS5 so why not.
DF did a segment on the 'new' PS2 emulator on PS5 in this week's Direct and the emulator is kinda disappointing.
TR does run higher than PS2 but just barely (576p), Sly has missing music until you restart the segment and the PSP emulator with 30 FPS games can have frame pacing issues.
The problem is that they put the PS2 games that were released on PS4 as part of the premium tier for PS5 and the PS2 emulation for those was (and still is) completely broken on PS5. They never bothered to fix it and I don’t think they did fix the emulation of those games. The new emulation solution seems to only apply to the releases from this month. No reason if they make sure these emulated versions run well on PS6 BC. Also, this is one of their PS Plus Premium perks, so it will surely last more than that.
My personal take on the topic from another thread.
There is no reason to assume that they will bother keeping PS2 emulation functional for PS6, or even the PS5 Pro for that matter.
The fact that these are part of their PS Plus Premium perks also makes it more likely that get way more care in next-gen BC.I believe that the reason in which their Japanese engineers didn't put much care on these BC games working well on PS5 is because it was a SCEA/SCEE led initiative. If you notice, Japan only got the Jak games (3 and X releasing on the region for the first time, even), Star Ocean 3 and Ace Combat 5, all of which work well on PS5 (they did also get those Star Wars titles, but much later on).
