Publisher Aniplex and developers Pokelabo and f4samurai have announced Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra for iOS and Android. It will launch in 2024 in Japan.

The teaser website features the following three visuals:

Further details were not announced.
Really sucks as I've been waiting for Aniplex to make a console game based on the series, yet we have another mobile gacha.
Not that the idea itself is bad, as Magia Record was of high quality in some aspects, but having another one of these after 7 years, especially since it will be Japan-only for 2 years at the very least, is disappointing. It doesn't help that I haven't heard any good things about Pokelabo.

Still pissed Magia Record EN shut down after I pulled Godoka and Homura (not the one they gave out in the beginning, proper Homura).

They've just announced that it's getting a Steam version and a global release, too.

Global rollout and high production values (especially compared to Magia Record)? Now I'm cautiously optimistic about this! The first screencap looks sweet, reminds me of the action gameplay in the PlayStation games.
I still don't trust Aniplex of America to not fuck the international version up in some way, but I'll still be playing it on mobile.
Please more news on Walpurgis no Kaiten next. 🙂

Nice, I used to like Madoka a lot when it came out many years ago when I was still in high school. Never followed the series after the movie, so I never played the gacha for it or saw the anime sequel.

You got me interested.

I don't know anything about the game, but this is one of best anime I've ever seen.

Some dark shit happens behind these cute visuals. Edge of Tomorrow vibes, but better.

New PV dropped earlier today.

Look at those beautiful graphics. 😭
Come on, Aniplex, can we get a GachaStation 5 port? It's a (relatively) big budget project also coming to PC, in a world where several major gacha games are getting PS5 versions as well. It would feel right at home.
I don't care if it ends up being bad, I just want to have it on the console.

Haha, always ahead of me, thanks. 😃
Sadly, even if I'm still excited for this game, I can't help but feeling a bit disappointed with the fact that the Walpurgis no Kaiten movie has been delayed for a whole year, and this will just keep reminding me of that. 🙁
PV was great, btw.
The movie delay sucks, but it is what it is I guess. :lollipop_pensive: The new stuff they showed about the game looks legit good though.

But yeah, like you said in one of the previous replies, Aniplex must come to their senses and put the game on the GachaStation 5 as well.

Just saw this on the Gacha Gaming subrredit, it's been delayed to next year.

Being a Madoka fan is suffering.
Already saw this coming, and honestly, may as well further delay it to fall 2025 in time for the flim.
Though VERY awkward that they EOS'd Magia Record in July to follow a smooth transition to Magia Exedra, yet that didn't happen.
