A $99 GC price-point coupled with this exclusive will most assuredly move systems as well. Echoes will also put up some very healthy numbers. A recognizable franchise now, to those that may not have been hardcore gamers 8 yrs. ago when Samus last made a console appearance. The stellar GBA installments also have served to help raise awareness. Multi-player inclusion, a unique & compelling storyline, new weapons, visors, gameplay abilities, enemies, effects, visuals, etc. qualify this as a must have. (shortened scan times & a possible secondary dual-analog control scheme as well) Retro with more than ample game polish time? I cannot wait, as I thought the first was one of the most polished as well as detailed games of this generation.
The 1st MP did 833k in sales during the months of Nov. & Dec. 2 years ago with a significantly smaller userbase iirc. It also has cultivated a fan following now since MP's well received release. A million+ units is, or should be easily attainable. With RE4 beating that out.

If you think RE4 will appear on any other console Gunsmoke I have this to say to you. "Main series exclusivity deal," check up on that. Did RE:Remake or RE:0 go to the PS2? Gee, I wonder why? Regardless, (& not to start a system war) I know that the PS2 couldn't handle it without various textural & effect downgrades. (perhaps lighting as well)

as the weeks went on they changed their stance, then in 2003 announced some are exclusive, now they say only one will be.
For a company to come out with such an announcement about their feelings towards the industry and their stance on sequel games...

I held on to my Nintendo Gamecube with ATI gfx processor during the 2002/2003 game drought soley because of Capbombs announcement.
But what did we get ? We got a turd disguised as a dead pheonix.
In other words, you're fooling yourself if you think RE4 is gonna come out for PS2 sometime.

GS, out of the Capcom 5 the only title that truly matters is RE4. Biggest budget, best visuals, best gameplay, (next to VJ) largest ww sales projection at 1.8 million, etc. PN0.3 bombed, & deservedly so IMO. Dead Phoenix was dissolved, VJ sold well between NA & JPN (300k+) & received some acclaim & awards, so they decided to capitalize upon this. Killer 7 will be a NA exclusive if that makes you feel any better. Regarding the REs, Mikami said that the PS2 couldn't handle them from a tech. standpoint. Of course he hates the PS2, as well as coding for it, so take his words with a grain of salt.
