Yeah... no major breaking news here.

I just noticed that this year in particular there was very little effort in putting horror into the dress up or occasion. Usually you would get at least a horror spin like zombie pool, but it seemed like most people just dressed up in cosplay.

What was Halloween like by you? If you had attended any events.

Back when I was in college it was basically a day of nudity. One year our local hangout had a prize for the most exposed costume for women. It was a 5 way tie.

Last night was fun with the family and kids and more than few houses went all out. One was Star Wars themed with a humongous X Wing Fighter on the lawn.

we get cosplay every day though, young'uns take any chance they can get to dressup as characters.

just didn't feel very halloweeny this year, just a regular themed party.

I've never been a big Halloween person but when the vibes gone you do miss it.

I read an article recently that argued kids content has been overly sanitized in recent years to protect kids. According to some experts, it's a bad trend because exposure to monsters and other scary themes prepare kids for the bad and negative aspects of society. Maybe Halloween has also been slowly sanitized.

I wouldn't be shocked if that was the case. I dunno how many kids these days have that uncle or grandad who chucks on IT or Predator when your 5 and being baby sat anymore.

I also think with parents letting their kids being online 24/7 they probably see some horrific real life shit on social media so Frankenstein would be Hella watered down as "spooky" to them.
