seems like the intelligent move would have been to approach atlus and try and get them interested in publishing it, actually. RCR EX is doing well, after all.

Definetly. Heck the dude was well within his rights to charge Atlus a small fee for use of the name to finance the development of his own game.

Yeah, I'm wondering why he didn't show whatever he had finished to Atlus. Couldn't they have worked something out? After all, it is he who owns the rights to the name. If he didn't want to take legal action, he could've at least gone into negotiations with Atlus.

Who knows, though. Maybe he's a terrible programmer. I just find the idea of an actual RCR sequel intriguing.

Yeah, just seems to me that the project wasn't very far along. Without much to show, no publisher interest, and a true remake already coming, they decided not to press on.
