I wonder day theses often games are released for PlayStation and Switch that never make it outside of Japan? Probably not as many as there used to be?

Was Shu at them?
Yes, as president of SIE WWS in 2019 and previous years, and as head of Indie Initiative in 2020 and beyond.
They werent at TGS
They actually never stopped going to TGS, it's just that their presence in 2020-2023 was limited to mostly showcasing indie games.
For example, they did have a small area at TGS 2023 with indie stuff, and some bigger Japanese titles like Gran Turismo 7 for PSVR2 and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution (plus a cute Doko Demo Issyo stand).

TGS 2024 is simply a return for them as General Exhibitor, in which they will have a large scale booth that is going to showcase first-party and third-party games.
This is what the PlayStation booth looked like at TGS 2019.

Sony has generally been increasing their presence in Asia for a while now.

Even when they weren't doing much in Japan, they've been working with Korean and Chinese devs (and soon Indian ones too).

The only thing that truly stopped as of late are the PlayStation Festivals, which were held several times in Japan from 2016 to 2019.

The last one was on November 3, 2019.

You really can't help yourself can you, this game has permanently scarred you for some reason, HZD isn't even there and you have to mention it....let it go, man, let it go, for your own mental health

You can't understand sarcasm, can you?

Before lecturing someone, first learn a little bit.

The same applies to the other clueless guy below.
