Crazy thought, maybe if your expectations were actually realistic based on track-record and format you might not be constantly disappointed.
I'm sorry, but Sony has been using this format for a month shy of 6 years at this point. If the penny hasn't dropped by now as to how to manage expectations then its on you.
You're not wrong, but it's also on Sony because they aren't satisfying people with a proper showcase.
You get the occasional big reveal like Ghost of Yotei and the semi-big reveal of Horizon Remaster.
I think I'd be happy if they announced a new game and showed off a new remaster/remake that isn't Day's Gone or a remaster of PS2 and PS3 games like GoW1-3.
I also think we should see some gameplay of Ghost of Yotei if its dropping within the next 10 months and obviously we'll see Death Stranding 2, though I'm less excited about that.
My realistic expectations are
Death Stranding 2
Ghost of Yotei
Marathon
God of War Greek Saga Remaster PS2, PS3, Vita games
Day's Gone Remastered
And yeah, I'll be pretty disappointed if that's what it is.
At some point we need to see Cory's game, but just a year ago he was saying how he was seeing early things coming together, which was weird at the time and I'm surprised no one said anything then. I think most presumed he was working on something since at least 2022, so we're probably looking at 2027 release.
We could potentially see more of Intergalactic depending on how far from release it is, but that could also be a 2027 release.
Wolverine is probably delayed at least partially due to the voice actors strike.
I now don't expect to see anything from Bend or Bluepoint.
We should see something from Media Molecule sooner rather than later.
I wonder if we'll see something like Until Dawn VR from firesprite.
