We need some benchmarks on how much does it affect performance compared to the AMD and Nvidia solutions

Yeah I’m curious too but the less programs running in the background the better in my opinion. I haven’t used it in a long time but that Nvidia overlay kind of sucks from what I remember.

Geforce experience is weird because there is no controller support. Also, all HDR screenshots are unusable. Which means i have to turn off HDR to take a pic.

Lets hope Steam is better.

Just tried it on the SteamDeck with a couple of games and it works.
It can be set to Off, Auto record when game starts or a keyboard command toggle.

I haven't tried it, but how easy is it to share the videos? Is there an upload to "insert platform" option? Are the videos in any way encrypted, or just a raw recording? Any resolution or frame rate caps options?

Edit - Seems the frame rate is locked to either 30 or 60. Offers these resolutions, but there is another option that makes the height "unlimited" so it might do others. Can save the video in any specified folder. Can share a link that Steam hosts, so someone can watch the video. You can share between devices, and it will automatically download next time you are on that device. Don't think there is an auto upload option if you are looking to put it on YouTube or wherever. Default is recording set to off. The second option is set to automatically record at the beginning of starting a game for 120 minutes and will be saved as a temporary file, but doesn't state how long for. When turned on to manually record, Ctrl+F11 to start / stop, Ctrl+F12 to a timeline marker. Might try it later just to test it out.

Side Note - I had to manually make Steam update for this to download. Had to download 2 updates, actually.
