OFFLINE MODE

We’ve talked before about an Offline mode coming to the game, and we’re pleased to make this option available as part of the Season 4 Episode 7 release on December 10. Offline mode will allow you to experience content released for the game, including the main story campaign and all seasonal story mission content, without an internet connection. To access Offline mode, you can either create a new profile by starting from the beginning of the game or create a copy of your existing Online profile, allowing you to jump in with all of your progress. All earned and purchased cosmetics will also be available in Offline mode. For more details, check out our Offline mode FAQ.

DEATHSTROKE

Though few who meet him live to talk about it, you might recognize the newest playable character: Deathstroke, available December 10 when Season 4 Episode 7 releases. Also known as Slade Wilson, Deathstroke is a cold-blooded mercenary and one the world’s deadliest assassins. As a tactical genius armed with unparalleled swordsmanship, and a few extra toys thanks to a deal with A.R.G.U.S., Deathstroke is a one-man-army with a single objective: put an end to Brainiac’s invasion once and for all.

FINAL SEASON

With Deathstroke joining the roster, the Suicide Squad’s crusade against Brainiac is drawing to an end. Season 4 will finish up with Episode 8, which is scheduled to release in January 2025, and that will serve as the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While Season 4 Episode 8 will mark the final battle against Brainiac, all online features will continue to be available, so you’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends, as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content. You’ll also have the option to play the game via the new Offline mode, which allows access to the main story campaign and all post-launch seasonal gameplay content without an internet connection. For more details, visit our Season 4 FAQ.

Yep, as soon as they started bringing back the jl members without any story explanation, it was clear year 2 was scrapped and they were cramming everything in the promised 4 seasons to avoid any legal issues; I'm sure batman/superman will just suddenly be alive without any logical conclusion or connection to anything.

Well, good for the ones who where sticking out for their word I guess.
Not exactly a loss really, good ridance for some waste of money and DC property. Lets hope things like this never happen again.

They're seeing the numbers Marvel Rivals is doing right now. Things like this will definitely be coming back.

Disagree. Waaay too much money lost on this crap, most of these companies learned the hard way that GaaS is a very high risk very high reward. Unless you have a strong appeal, you are doomed to fail 100% of time. No wonder WB is pushing the hell out of Harry Potter everywhere, must be trying to recoup the costs elsewhere.

Why did it took so long is the real question. Should have Concorded.

But kudos for the offline mode. Thats the way all GAAS should do once they reach End of Service. Some gacha games aleady did this as well.

Just when I was getting into it :messenger_frowning_ But it's not unexpected. I just wish we could've seen more characters. I've been having a lot of fun with the game for the past 2 weeks.

im kinda surprised they weren't shut down. Either way, they have all the same staff, so I can't imagine their next game will be much of an improvement, feels like all these companies somehow lost all the talent, and forgot how to make games

They had a plan but fumbled hard, they should've had the epilogue immediately talk about what the strange thing about the corrupted JL was and head into a setup to save/get them back, instead of well JL are "dead" now, so just get ready to kill braniac 13 times.
It looks like their plan was to slowly hint at the survival of the JL while you fight the different braniacs, and then year two starts with actually narrative to getting them back.
Instead now the game fumbled and instead of pivoting right away into something with narrative cohesion, they just had a JL member be alive again every season without any explanation whatsoever because year 2 was canceled.

DC comic universe has plenty of appeal still. Just not the Suicide Squad, nobody cares about the Suicide Squad, except left wing weirdos who hate the idea of heroes.

Wow. For once a character looks good. No idea who Deathstroke is since I dont follow comics but he (assuming it's a he) looks pretty slick. Should had made all characters look good like this. And they left him as a season 4 finale? lol

yeah...I don't know who to blame anymore. I feel so conflicted, because when the game launch, I was just like everyone else. I actually bought and played and thought it sucked. It was not clicking with me...Then with these $5 prices on steam and xbox, I bought it again to give it another go...and it's like the game finally clicked and it was a lot of fun to me. I think the live service stuff just sends a bad message when you got a full price game. But what you said about year 2 maybe being a story of bringing the JL back...that does sound like it would've been a lot cooler. Would've been a nice payoff. Might've led to more variety if the game was more successful also.

Mrs Freeze is not happy about this
The crazy thing is...Mrs Freeze is one of the most fun characters to play as. Her traversal moves feel so good. It's too bad the game does have those woke elements.

Is Mrs Freeze and actual DC character?, or did the devs just go the woke route and make Mr Freeze into a woman?.

I mean i know Mr Freeze does have a wife frozen away with some desease. Is it suppoed to be her, or is just woke nonsense?.

OG batman villain, one of the few who can win against bats in a fist fight. Also deadpool is a parody of deathstroke.

They had a cool idea and dropped many hints about it during the story, there's even an easter egg in the game that says that batman will return if you manage to find all of them (you can find the last one after the batman boss fight), they just completely fumbled the execution and didn't even make a hard pivot when they needed to; they actually could've saved the game, but chose to stick with the original plan.

DC comic has yes, but the team behind them clearly not.
Whats the point of doing a DC copy carbon of Rivals if they gonna employ ugly faces and designs cortesy of a propaganda dev team?

Yes Mrs freeze, nora fries, actually exists

The game clearly showed characters planned for 4 seasons after you finish the story, and the first one after joker was freeze, then leaks mentioned this being a female freeze so people assumed it might've been mrs freeze.
Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way, the freeze in the game is just an alternate universe victor fries, called victoria fries with exactly the same motivations of saving her wife nora and is just a boring genderbend; they probably went this route because nora supposedly dies after arkham knight, but the execution is just terrible, and they still could've went with an alternate nora instead, or just say she survived.

How did this even make it to 4 seasons?

I think because when the game released, the more expensive "deluxe edition" offered the entire first year of seasons. So they had an obligation to those 7 people who bought the deluxe edition.

But yeah, just like the first comment...good fucking riddance.

The seasons themselves were always free, the deluxe edition gave access to single season pass, not all of them.
It's because the game's story ends with an image and promise of a all 4 seasons and incoming free characters.

They dragged it out for a long time, I wonder how much money WB burned during this time supporting a game that essentially no one needed. After all, you had to pay for all the new characters and seasons, well, except if all the first 4 seasons were included in the budget at once, which is doubtful. What can I say, I wish them luck now to get out of this well of shit with their next game, and they will really need it. If of course WB doesn't cut off their oxygen supply earlier for losing so much money.

I assume most of this trash was done before the game released. How ignorant of your fanbase do you have to be in order to produce something like this?

Gay Joker
Gay Woman Freeze
Woman Deadshot

And to top it off they are all ugly. Who thought this was the way to sell something to demographic who enjoys superhero games?
