Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League developer Rocksteady hit by end-of-year layoffs

adamsapple

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League developer Rocksteady has quietly suffered another round of layoffs, this time just before the end of 2024.

Half a dozen staff impacted by the redundancies have spoken to Eurogamer to confirm the job losses, under condition of anonymity to protect their careers.

Roles impacted include members of Rocksteady's programming and artist teams, as well as more QA staff.

The job losses follow an earlier round of redundancies at Rocksteady that Eurogamer first reported back in September, when the company's QA team was nearly halved in size from 33 to 15 people. One staff member made redundant at the time said they had discovered they'd lost their job in the middle of their paternity leave.

I mean, a lot of the game feels like it was made by 10 people max so there can't be many of them left at this point in time.

DEI destroys everything in his way. I really hope developers and companies have learned their lesson

The Arkham games are among my favorite games of all time and seeing this developer doing this to themselves is awful and painful

Ugh

Outside of reduction in staff maybe reduce your choice of using SBI to influence, assist , direct your writers and art teams.

That game wasn't just ass, it was offensive ass that tarnished the quality of DC overall.

How dare they release it.

That said, hate to see people get fired of course.

KTJL should have never happened.

Don't worry, it's not Rocksteady. It's a group of unrelated devs wearing their skin as a suit.

Judging by the art in the game, the real Rocksteady laid themselves off years ago. I wonder what those lads are up to. These studio names can cause so much confusion. I'd love to see the staff crossover on DAO vs DAVG, or Arkham Asylum vs Suicide Squad.
