Sure Suda51 is known for some dark storyline and some oddball scenarios....but his most aggressively adult and dark storyline was his first game and it appeared in a Fire Pro Wrestling game...involving Ric Flair, murder...and even darker things than that.

Sure Fire Pro isnt the biggest franchise out there but getting a Suda51 game finally in English that's so notorious def isn't something to complain about

and if you dont know the story...don't spoil it on the internet. Just play the game and experience it. It's seriously that dark

Wait someone translated it? Damn, I'm going to have to try this out. Now that I think of it I got this game literally 30 years ago. It was my intro into the Fire Pro Wrestling series which were done by the late great Masato Masuda.(He did Pro-Wrestling on the NES for those that didn't know.)

Been a fan of this series for a while and had no idea about this! I just finished it (playtime around 5 hours). Really enjoyed my time with it!

  • It's only the Story Mode that's translated
  • For first time players there are matches were you CANNOT win (you'll lose anyway because the difficulty ramps up) to advance the story.
  • The storyline is pretty generic for the first 7 chapters.
  • It does take a pretty "dark" turn near the end and of course the controversial ending.
  • Would of been cool if the cutscenes were animated, instead of just still images. You're mostly seeing Faces anyway.
  • Hope in the future the entire game is translated and the wrestlers/fighters changed to their trademark WWF/UFC names.
If you're a fan of the FirePro series this is definitely a must play, it's gameplay really has stood the test of time. Maybe I'm desensitized but it wasn't as disturbing as I hoped it would be (and someone in the Youtube comments spoiled the ending!) But if I played this in 1994 it would definitely be shocking and unexpected.

8/10 Love the resurgence of these recent English translations. The romhackers are keeping retro gaming alive!
